cool i think i'll have to install it soon. I was wondering if it would be difficult especially since I dont have the booklet manual and I have no idea what each building or troop does.

lol i will do that soon. do you guys play online or just the campaign mode?

I cant get the hang of the game on my friends 360. I just want to drag and select the mouse over my army, and i find it much easier having a mouse pointer to point to where I want....plus you can see the buildings you need more clearly and the powers are more well laid out...

Anyway, I've never played it online because I don't want to get that geeky! ;) Campaign is fine for me, but I do also like the skirmishes. Can't the hang of the war of the ring mode though on the two most recent games.

But that means you've never played the first BFME game, which is based on the films! Or the rise of the witch king expansion.....now we can't have that for such a big LOTR fan now can we!
I'm sure you'd love to set up your defences at minas tirith, arrange your army on the walls and repel the assault of mordor, only for them to bring in fell beasts, catapults and siege towers, trolls and battering rams, and then in comes grond to smash down your gates! Then in the nice of time the Rohan timer runs down and the Rohirrim come to your aid. You then get to shoot down nazgul and rampage over hundreds of orcs, destroy one of their bases and then.....the Mumakil arrive! Using your rohirrim archers you shoot them down in flames......then aragorn arrives with his army of the dead for you to win the day!

I must admit i've not had many better gaming experiences then when I played that level for the first time.

No, never played either of those. Wish they where on the 360 because I think I'd really enjoy both of them. I'm just not a PC gamer type.

I have BFME 2 on my 360. If that's what you linked to. The firewall here blocks Amazon.

hi guys,

anyone here play either I or II on the new Intel processor equipped macs? anyone want to try? i just bought BFME I but dont have windows xp sp2 yet to try on.

thanks for all the help.

Anyone played the Extension, Rise of the Witch-King? How is the graphics and gameplay?? anyone wish to share??

Yes, it's superb superb and superb. You can make a movie out of that game alone! Like BFME2 there's only about 8 levels, but they can take a while to do. You overrun Arnor after establishing yourself in Angmar, then you're under siege in Carn Dum from the elves led by Elrond and Glorfindel, then you go on the offensive and crush the Arnor stronghold at Fornost.
But then, the MOST cool thing about the game, after tyhe campaign's over you get a special 'epilogue' level where you get to be the good guys - elves and Gondor, and you lay siege to Angmar, killing every unit and hero you once controlled, before finally defeating the witch king himself.

I prefer console gaming as well other than Diablo and BFME. I have BFME II but I haven't played it yet and I haven't bought RotWK yet but I will eventually.
