This. I was hoping for a cut scene to the water monger's office so we could see his iconic red stapler lol....
I loved the laziness--I mean convenience of having Fett's interaction with the bikers taking place right outside the water broker's home, lol. The kids so don't care that they just warm their hands right outside the guy's doorstep. :lol

Also is it just me or does Mos Espa seem almost nothing like the city that Qui Gon, Padme and Jar Jar traipsed around in in TPM? They did a good job of matching Mos Eisley to the OT but Espa feels like a totally different place than it was in TPM and AOTC IMO.

I literally cannot wait until Wednesday now. :lol

I'm a little worried that we won't see the biker gang again until the finale (otherwise lol if Filoni and Howard have to try and make them cool) but since RR is directing the finale they *will* be back then, of that there is no doubt. :yess:

And did anyone else enjoy Mechanic Lady's little cameo when Fett rode into Mos Eisley, lol. :rock
I did...a phantom dream of better days...before the dark times...when my girl Gina was still kicking ***:crying...before Favreau slid into the same pit of the Alien franchise e.g. know when to stop milking the sea cow teat. Favreau's already milking himself, with the addition of random decor from Big Lots.

Anyone else find themselves casually humming the theme tune? I like it. :chase
No, but it's grown on me. Except then, I think, if so much of the show wasn't *&^ it's a shame a score that would be ironic - if there was the formerly expected brutal edginess - is instead accenting something more like a Saturday morning cartoon :pfft: . Total disconnect - like what my brain does every time Boba looks bewildered and Fennec has to tell him what to do.:stick

I thought it was silly after the first episode but now I actually enjoy it when it kicks in during the credits and yes it is very hummable, lol.

I've come to the realization that Star Wars on TV is just kooky. I mean think about it. The Holiday Special, Ewok Movies, Droids and Ewok cartoons and a good portion of TCW. Tartofksy CW and most of Mando was cool but I'm just going to consider those as anomalies and will assume that everything going forward will just be fun goofiness that won't be worth getting worked up over. Bring on Vader and Kenobi dueling on top of a runaway fruit cart. :yess:

Solo took place 10 years before ANH though. There's no way that Han was on the run for dumping his cargo that long. ;)

Remember that Jabba called him "a good smuggler" in ROTJ so I took that to mean that Han had been working for him for quite some time and had only recently fallen out of favor with him.
I didn’t know it was explicitly stated it took place 10 years before but that’s about what I assumed. I also forgot about that Jabba comment in ROTJ, which is why I thought their heading to Tattoine at the end seemed premature. But yes, your interpretation makes more sense. :duff

Then again, given how inept Boba is now, taking 10 years to track down Han seems about right. :lol

I think we’re starting to like it because our brains associate it with the end credits & thus the end of the misery….

I’m addicted to dumb clueless benevolent spineless Fett is it Wednesday yet lol

Fennec is going to go have *** with the mayor if this ***** keeps playing with his Rancor.

Fennec is going to get her back blown out, while simple Fett and his pet roam about.

What is he going to name it? Slave 1 🤭

No one's done much. Just a lot of characters playing hot potato with the plot.

No, it's the mayor... no, it's the Hutts... no, it's the mayor.... no, it's the water monger... no, it's someone else...

It's 8D8... mastermind superdroid seeking vengeance on Fett for making him close his droid torture shop.

It’s none of them, it’s incompetence :lol

The movie implies that it takes place 10 years before ANH when it calls out Chewie as being 190 years old. If you remember all of the peripheral media (Star Wars Storybook, Topps Trading Cards, even Carrie Fisher in interviews, etc.) were all in agreement in 1977 that Chewie was a "200 year old Wookiee" at the time of ANH.

It was the Tusken kid all along!

That's another thing that cracked me up about the latest episode.

Hutts: "Boohoo we were both lied to. That spineless mayor promised Tatooine to some other bad guys so we're going home. Twelve whole pykes are walking off a luxury starliner as we speak, we're Hutts whatever shall we do, bye." WTF, lol.

Oh man I freaking love this show. :lol

After getting dooped into believing that Mando Fett might be a clever setup for him to be working for Gideon there's no way that I'm going to let myself get excited for the possibility of something that cool occurring. I am taking *everything* at face value with this show. I mean just last week the Hutts told Fett to "sleep lightly" and then literally one episode later he's attacked in his sleep!

So if the Hutts say it's a gift and Trejo says it's kind and loving and Fett wants to ride it then I fully expect to watch Fett riding a kind and loving Rancor into battle in the finale (or sooner.) Remember Bad Batch already gave us a sympathetic Rancor just a few short months ago so I think they're just doing it again.
I didn't watch Bad Batch, so I'm still oblivious to the full context of the Rancor there. But it's Filoni, so that makes sense.

But Khev, I think you're now setting yourself up for disappointment of a different kind with how much you're embracing the unintended hilarity. You're hoping for a continuation of this level of absurdity, but it's just not possible. This last episode can't be matched, much less topped. Just try to imagine your reaction if only one month ago I had told you that *one* single episode would give you Boba Fett in all of the following scenarios:

  • Getting tossed around in his underwear until he's saved by a cyperpunk gang of teenage Vespa riders.
  • Taking the time to put on a bath robe (not armor) while the rampaging Wookiee is continuing the fight in the very next room.
  • Having cuddle time with a depressed rancor.
  • Being stumped without recourse by a door being locked.
  • Letting a Wookiee assassin go free and telling him "no hard feelings."
  • Making a pun by accident and apologizing to the guy in case his feelings were hurt.
  • Using his jetpack for the first and only time to chase down a fleeing target... and only arriving after Vespa teens had done his job for him.
  • Recruiting a Vespa-riding gang of cyberpunk teens to work for him, based on no qualifications whatsoever, and then getting his *** saved by them as his new elite squad of bodygaurds.

What absurdities can there possibly be left to further reduce this character? Have him literally crapping himself? A tearful scene about his erectile dysfunction?
