It's entirely possible that the first two seasons of The Mandalorian were the pinnacle of what Disney Star Wars can be with the kind of ***** leadership that is in place.
I quit watching Marvel content no problem. Star Wars could be next. Let's see how this goes.

It's cool. It's very cool. My 6 year old brain would have exploded if I saw that.
BUT........I still like the full "skirt" piece and the more loose fabric around his neck and the all black and less red from the Mando episodes.
I'm a disgusting whore with no self control so I'm sure I'll buy a "Book" figure with that look eventually, but the SHF is gonna be my be-all, end-all Fett as long as it looks as good as the prototype.

Perhaps, that's his arc. He tries to rule with honor and respect, but he eventually realizes that fear is the only way, so he has to make a choice and decide what kind of man he wants to be, a good honorable man, or a ruthless ruler like Pizza the Hut.

There is no way the Fett show will be worse than the ST with Favreau involved. He is not involved with Kenobi however and that worries me. We already know that Kenobi will duel Vader in a fight that never existed.
Too bad Lucas isn't around because he would have just CG'd ESB Fett into being a fatty.
That said I suppose they could be using a body double for some shots but in pics like this he looks really good and like he's straight out of a post-Sarlacc Dark Horse comic from the 90's.

Fixed. I think Rodriguez and Favreau will prove to be an even better one-two punch than Filoni and Favreau especially with regard to legacy characters. RR singlehandedly turned his one short Mando episode into gratuitous Fett ****, lol. He said in interviews that Favreau wrote Fett to just get his armor and take out a couple Stormies until RR convinced F&F to let him choreograph a 9 page slaughter sequence totally upstaging anything the title character of the show ever did, lol.
As for Kenobi I still have faith in Deborah Chow. She directed arguably the best two episodes of Mando Season 1 and thus far has refused to allow gender politics to play any role in her identity as a director. She was famously quoted as saying that she doesn't want anyone to see her as a "female director" as opposed to just being another director who does great work. So if she's not going to promote that in her own life I have faith that she won't try to pigeon hole any "I am woman hear me roar" nonsense into Kenobi.
