Oh, I didn't know she had a condition on the show. Was it confirmed in an episode?

I thought she was just painfully honest without having any semblance of tact. Like when she told Marco Ruiz's wife that dinner didn't taste good. :slap

I don't think they've come out and said she has a mental condition, but I keep thinking it's some form Asperger's too. Are there different forms of Asperger's?

Well, my knowledge of Asperger's is limited by what little I've read.

On the official website it says she has Asperger's. The show even has a special consultant to help with that aspect of the character.

^There you go. Thanks for the confirmation.

I can't wait till they delve into Sonya's past. I initially thought her lack of social skills may have been a defense mechanism that resulted from her sister's death, but the belief is Asperger's may be genetic, though there has been no confirmation.

I work with alot of clients with Asperger's. One form of Asperger's does not allow the person to react appropriate to normal social cues. She did not know that being that honest can hurt someone's feelings. She plays that part very well. The people that have this problem as seen as jerks when in actuality they just cannot read people.

Thanks, that's good information to know.

Just burned thru all the shows tonight to play catch up..............damn, this show is amazing. Well I guess it will be a one and done season like all the other shows I liked........

I have a feeling it'll be renewed. FX is pretty good at sticking by their shows. The only time I was really disappointed was when they canceled Terriers after one season.

Asperger is a mild form of autism. I know someone who I think has it.

It's categorized mostly by the fact that the individual can still function in normal/everday society, but struggles with social interaction and are often regarded as shy and introverted. They avoid eye contact, engaging other individuals, starting conversations, etc. and often have intense focuses.

The individual I know is actually wickedly smart. Top of his class in college, works as an engineer for the military, but is somewhat strange and has been for years. He doesn't engage much in conversation, wears sunglasses inside, mumbles when he talks, etc. Very distinct and different social skills. His sister is completely the opposite, boisterous and extroverted. So we wonder where it came from?

yes you are right about that, and i hope so. there is a lot of potential for stories. and agreed about terriers.......even to this day it's still a bit of a thorn. i would add Awake too however that was NBC.

Back when I was younger people who suffered from these traits were called eccentric now they have a name for it.

He's the guy who killed Sonya's sister. He's like that because the Captain (dude from Silence of the Lambs) put a bullet in his head after he hunted him down to get revenge. The reason Sonya visits him is because she wants to know WHY he killed her sister. But she'll never get any answers because of the Captain's actions. Which is something he has to live with and why he started seeing the same headshrink that got a Columbian necktie.

Thank you! I totally missed that. I walked out of room when captain was telling the story. I thought he killed the guy. Makes more sense now. Lol.

Looks like the Hastings guy is playing this out perfectly.

It's payback time on Ruiz for having an affair with Hastings' wife.

The chase is on over the final 4 episodes.

Just got caught up...

They sure kicked it up a notch this week. I like Ruiz but he is sure not the model family man.

Ray is a moron and I doubt he will last much longer now that they have found the trackers in the guns. Any why did he not use a floor dolly for those crates of guns through the tunnel. He did it the hard way.
