I could never understand WTF was so great about The Crow. I think I watched it once and never remembered it after that. Not a bad movie but nothing great.

To be purely honest and not to stir the pot, it is not horror in any form. If The Crow is a "gothic" horror movie then so is Spawn. So no "imo" The Crow is not a horror film of any kind.

Dark suspense? sure.

Mary Shelly's Frankenstein novel is the epitome of Gothic Horror. Bram Stoker's Dracula novelization as well. The Crow, if at all related, is like the Arkansas, backwoods, inbred mutant cousin twice removed and then, only through marriage to his own grandmother. You need to look up horror, educate yourself on true gothic horror, kick yourself in the ass a few times, use a smelling salt or two, then come back and maybe we can continue if the mods have yet to move this thread where it belongs.... While I can see both sides of the argument and one could say that the crow is a ghost story at its basis but when I think of a horror movie I never think of the crow.

If Lonnie, Dave or one of the other mods in general think otherwise then it can be moved back into horror but the arguing and name calling needs to stop.

Personally I've only seen it once (ages ago) so I'm not a big fan but I'm sure there's loads out there that would like a fig. I hope you get it

Whether someone classes it as Horror/Gothic or whatever else, the thread is in General now and I have just cleaned up all the insults and back and forth between members.
Please just agree to disagree and leave it at that.
