So I just found this thread....What's the consensus? Yay or Nay? I personally recongize that it was a good movie but was disappointed. Having said this, I value character development and storylines over large scale epicness so naturally I thought Batman Begins was the best. My only gripe with TDK was Two-Face/Harvey Dent wasn't really a developed character. So obviously I had some problems with this movie. The decision to cut out some of Bane's origin rubbed me the wrong way, especially since it was made up with all that 99% stuff. I thought they tried to do too much and I like JGL a lot but the robin thing....Also, I'm 22 years old but as long as I can remember people would say Batman would die if he was real. Now I've been a Batman fan since my mom sewed my kindergarten costume but that guy should have died, just not from a bomb.
As far as loopholes, if he hadn't burned that sign it wouldn't have come down to the last second...Also, does anyone out there thing it's strange that Catwoman can fight just as well as Batman? We needed an entire movie to believe Batman could do it but everyone just accepted Catwoman. She should have just stayed a thief. Also, what was there between the two that made them fall in love? That was poorly developed as well to make room for the gigantic storyline. Bane's plan was a little too elaborate. And if Talia wanted to stab him quietly then why did she allow Bane to ship him off? I thought Talia was great casting but that was a horrible death. Liam Neeson cameo was great and I thought the prison climb scene was also quite entertaining.
Since this movie kinda referred to BB a lot I kinda wish they had played up different emotions. Like when Ra's says "you are just a man in a cape" to BATMAN. I think things like that are more epic than Bane blowing up a football field but whatever. Sorry I've been dying to get this out.
