I don't see what's so wrong with the post or for Bale to have shown up in the batsuit?

Because. It's just goofy.

Horribly goofy. There ARE real heroes out there. And they don't dress up. What about the cops? The fireman? The people in the theater? They don't need Batman for that.

Batman isn't real. Bale is. I'm glad he came as himself. And not dressed up.

And on a super side note...Batman just yells at people...why would any kid want that?

The kids went to see the character on screen - it would have been cool for them to see bale in the suit.

And its just as cool for them to see Bale without the suit.

Either would have been good.

It would have done precisely NOTHING to undermine real heroes such as those you listed

If you want people dressed up in costumes go to Disneyland. Bale showed sincere care for the victims. Enough said.

After such a horrible tragedy, I don't think a man in a batsuit would be the proper approach to the situation. Bale showing up to visit the victims was nice.

I just don't see it. Yes, kids see these movies, but there really isn't much for them in it.

I'm very glad he didn't do that. I just cant see that working. Maybe kids would dig it. But Batman is scary as ____.

And him being there wouldn't, but that post did. I hate everything that posts says. I think it's silly, over dramatic, and unrealistic.

But this is my opinion. You don't have to agree, but I'm just glad he came as a person, and gave his sympathy. Not as a giant bat. Because It would cease to be sincere. It would come off as goofy, forced, and possibly insensitive to everyone else.

Because Batman somehow caused the tragedy? That mindset is just playing to the sillyness of the media

Still don't get the point but whatever.

If you have a genuine reason why you think him coming in the Batsuit would have been a bad idea, let's hear it

Because then it would've seemed more like a highly shameless promotional stunt, especially given the pulling of ads. You get that point? :lol

They were seeing a Batman movie when this happened. It might never be the same film to them ever again. They might never want to ever watch it.

It could forever trigger the images, and terror, or the sight, or feeling of losing someone they care about. That, and it being just odd, is why i'm glad Christian Bale never showed up in his bat costume.

But you also have to remember that if Bale would have gone dressed as Batman, he would have had to stay in character the whole time. Going as the Dark Knight but talking like himself would have killed the illusion - Plus, I'm sure he would have preferred going as himself & talking to the victims as Bale instead of Batman.

Either way, what he did was great.

That has absolutely nothing to do with it. When something so horrible happens to people and they're dealing with that much, it's better for a real person to come and wish you well rather than somebody dressed up as a fictional character. It's silly, like CelticPredator said.

I can understand perhaps it may come off less sincere, i'll give you that.

Insensitive? That's just reinforcing the BS in the media IMO

what BS? Look, people here in this state are seeing this movie like ____ing crazy. Maybe even more so now, because we're all united to stand against this man from ruining our lives.

But the fact is, it happened during a Batman movie. And it might terrify them.

Finally, some genuine arguments :lol

Read CelticPredator's post. My feelings more or less.
