To those that saw the film. I wanna see if you had the same gripe I had.

What did you guys think of that stupid knee thing? The biggest question on my mind before going into this film was, "how does Bruce possibly walk/run/fight well with missing cartilage in both knees?"

At first I thought it was a mental thing and that Bruce had it in his head that he needed a crutch until he went to the doctors and it's confirmed that he has some serious problems with his health.

So what happens? He ____ing has this little device that magically makes his legs stronger? I was shocked. I'm all for a suspension of disbelief, even though this film is always being described as realistic and grounded in reality but, c'mon. It seemed ridiculous.

Who is this guy, Tony Stark? I couldn't believe that. I mean he was able to kick that wall in? What the hell? Why didn't Bruce use the device in his eight years of being a hermit so he didn't need a cane?

I had an issue with that as well. What I also had an issue with was HOW banged up Bruce is. If we go by the time line of these films, Batman is around for roughly a year by the time the Joker shows up. Then that whole things last a few weeks at most, and then Bruce retires the cape and cowl. Yet he's banged up like he's been doing this for 15 years plus. Just didn't make sense to me.

Just overall, the film seemed to be trying too hard to be bigger and better than the last, and so fell short. It felt like it was trying to cram too much in to too little time, and I just didn't feel like I was watching a Batman movie at all. It felt very... weird to me.

It's not a bad film. But it's not anywhere in the same class as the first two. I guess that's what happens when you go to the well one too many times.

____ing Nolancompoops. I seriously hope this ____ affects the box office to send a clear message how idiotic this ____ has gotten with these pathetic losers. Mother____ers shot a baby at close range.

Sounds like a crazy deranged phychopath to me and not a nolan fan or anything. The people are oviously just inane and sick in the head to kill and murder innocent families and children. The fans have nothing to do with that.

The killing was planed well ahead of time. People might have been chosen at random, but there was nothing random about the shooting its self.

Tell that to the ____s who posted death threats on RottenTomatos. I seriously don't understand why this movie is being taken as seriously as it is. At this point, it's blatantly absurd.

^ He threatened people who hated the movie. Not random people.
I'm watching the news now. EYEWITNESS REPORTS. It's coming in like crazy.

He planned it. He came in with tear gas, and shot up the theater man.

Simple as that. And because of that, this movie is ruined. And now ____ is going to be changed.

Do you really think some of those geeks have the balls to kill someone over a movie review ?:dunno

Still getting the same ____ from the NBC affiliates stating he stood up in the theatre and started shooting attendees. :huh

:slap And I see this tomorrow morning with my 4-year-old daughter. :(

Actually, I do.

Nothing is changed. The American attention span can be measured in milliseconds. This whole story as tragic and senseless as it may be will be forgotten before u know it.

Laws will change. People will now be screened, and probed before seeing a film now. Everything is going to change after this.

In what way is the movie ruined? It existed and was completed well before this incident?

I'm with Nam on this one, this is horrible, and ____ing scary, but I have no doubt TDKR probably is a factor in this, some crazy reason, an obsessed fan who can't cope with the end and decided to make sure no one ever sees it, or someone so sickened by the Jesus worship of this franchise that they decided to lash out against people enjoying it. If this guy walked into a bank dressed like Joker and shot up people and the news said TDK was at fault, I'd argue that, but this seems like a very planned out thing and planned for TDRK specifically, not any other movie, and if the reports are right about it starting just after the trailers, even the timing was planned, and likely tied to the movie. I've looked forward to this movie and now I'm concerned to even see it anytime in these first few weeks. The Nolan fandom, just seen at this site, is being rational and reaches disturbing levels and this incident is like a culmination. We all love movies, it's why we come to this site and by our little toys, but there has to be a fine line not crossed between loving a movie and whatever state of mind this franchise seems capable of inciting in fans.

Except, that it doesn't make any goddamn sense.

Why would a fan, who wants the film to do good, go in and kill people, methodically, who are seeing the film....
