Re: The Dark Knight Rises

yeah, it was that guy...he's uncredited in TDK. weird.

I think nolan should just chill with feeling like he needs comic relief. like two kids shooting at cars with their finger pistols.

Kids with toy pistols, yeah those things are almost always standard Studio notes. We saw it in Begins, too. Kid on balcony, Batman gives him cool gadget so he can show his friends...

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I always thought what if those two kids were parked a little higher up , you know in front of the row of cars batman completely blew away. :lol

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

She wasn't even a character, she was a plot device.

I can't confirm it, but I'm sure she was a last minute addition to Begins. They needed a typical love interest and decided to throw her in. It certainly seems that way. She's nothing more than a plot device to serve as a moral compass for Wayne. Let the pep talk and motivational speeches to Alfred. Her function in the second one is to die, something that fans had been hoping for prior to TDK.

She's not a strong female character (hopefully Catwoman changes that), she's not attractive (Katie looked better though), and the acting is bad and over the top.

I remember someone saying that Nolan wrote the role with Kaite Holmes in mind. Lord knows why he choose to use her again in TDK. Her role could have been filled by another character.

And, yes, Maggie was worse then Katie.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

To be honest I think Nolan wrote the role with someone more homely in mind to further distance the gap visually between who Bruce really is and who Bruce the Playboy is. His true self isn't concerned with a supermodel and Holmes and Glynhal definitely drive that point home.

A recent report from London, England, reveals the location that will act as the rebuilt mansion for Bruce Wayne in director Chris Nolan's third and final Batman movie.

The Dark Knight Rises is the highly anticipated final installment of Warner Bros and DC Entertainment's new Batman film franchise. Christopher Nolan has returned to direct the film from a screenplay he wrote with Jonathan Nolan, from a story by himself and David S. Goyer. Details about the film's storyline are scarce, but it has already been established that one of villains set to take on the Batman (Christian Bale) will be the powerhouse known as Bane (Tom Hardy). Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway), better known to comics fans as Catwoman, will also have a central role in the movie. The will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

One of the worker at Osterley Park -- a mansion set in a large park of the same name located in the London Borough of Hounslow, part of the western suburbs of London -- revealed that director Chris Nolan has chosen the site to act as the new and improved Wayne Manor:

"Osterley Park is the inside of the Wayne Manor. That's right 3 rooms - dining room, and study - we forgot to ask what the 3rd room was - it was mentioned the study has a secret exit that will lead to the Batcave. Technically we are guaranteed sighting of Alfred (Michael Caine), Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale), I think Anne Hathaway, as she's likely to be having dinner with Bruce. There is a secret door in the study from which Wayne will escape."

The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Diego Klattenhoff, Burn Gorman, Nestor Carbonell, Alon Aboutboul, Matthew Modine, Tom Conti, Brett Cullen, Chris Ellis and Joey King and is scheduled to hit theaters July 20th, 2012.
