I said for the longest time how that was Bruce climbing up the well and other people insisted it was Bane or some kind of kid.

Just because the initial teaser trailer has Gordon saying this "evil rises" over a shot of Bruce climbing up the hole doesn't mean it has to be Bane.

I've felt all along that this movie will have strong connections to Begins. In the end, part 1 and 3 will feel most closely related with part 2 just being a bump in the road between the two. I really woud love to know just what it took for the writing of this story and script to come together, I feel like the pressure of following up to TDK and the pressure of being the end of Nolan's Bat films would really push the writing team to their limits and beyond to really put something together.

Will this movie hit everyone like TDK, probably not, because Ledger's Joker was the highlight of that film and a major factor in it's success, but, I do feel this will go down as the best of Nolan's Batman films. I really think this movie is going to mix the best of Begins and TDK into a single film and as far as filmmaking goes, will be Nolan's finest work. It may not seem it from the box office in the end, but I think anyone speaking of the filmmaking will hold it in high regard.

I never disagreed with it being Bruce, but, I definitely argued against it being the Batcave. It may heve been designed to make that connection, but that is not Wayne manor property.
