I think we all should write a letter to Nolan/WB requesting a private show for void. :lol

We can just say that he's a very poor kid with an HT Batman that only has a few months to live because of leaking abs.

Just don't mention that he owns 7 other ones and is waiting on a 1/4 scale :lol

- lose 10 points. For hating Conception.

You can't like Inception, you can't. I thought I had a grasp on your film tastes from what I've seen on the boards.

Make up your mind before I drop you down - 500 points.

Screw Void, I should get a private viewing (not a show, who would want a private Nolan show :horror) because,

I'm Batman.

So as if this week wasn't jam packed with news already.... we get THIS now (granted, this should still be treated as rumor / speculation until proven, but given the source and a few proven details, it requires far more to assume it is untrue than it does to assume it is true)...

The film is said to have a runtime of 3hours +....

SQQQQUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

This news came via a tweet (now deleted) compliments of VFX guy (not on TKDR mind you) named Roger Nall, that his wife (a dialect coach on TDKR) was seeing the film today (she would be viewing it for purposes of deciding whether or not any additional ADR was required for any questionable dialect or line delivery type things).

In looking back through Nalls Twitter feed, you see evidence of him mentioning his wife working on a movie in Pittsburg last summer and also evidence of him claiming she was working with Bale, Oldman, Levitt and Cotillard. He also claims that she read the script last summer before filming began and thought TDKR would outdo TDK and that she thought the former's script to be the better of the two (note: he referred to them as "Rory's First Kiss" and "Magnus Rex").

This morning, he tweeted that his wife was off to a screening of "one of the summers big movies. The Dark one." later this afternoon tweeted "For all those who asked, the report back is "Excellent"! Also, to those who asked, 3hrs +". That tweet has since been deleted. But clearly, this guy isn't going to lie for the sake of lying....

So IF Nolan's Bat Epic concludes with a film that is over 3 hours long... lordy.... i'm already looking at getting tix to the 3am show (now probably 3:30...) as i somehow missed out on the fact that tix for my local IMAX's midnight show went on sale back in Dec. But whatever... as long as the film is as good as i hope it is, I am delighted that we will be getting that much more of Nolan's last Bat outing.

All I was thinking in the crowd was, "why don't we just pull our guns out and shoot Bane and Batman"?

:lol

If the scene you were part of in Pittsburgh was the same/similar to what I was part of on Wall Street, then it was a pretty dense, close combat all-out brawl between Batman and the cops versus Bane and his mercs. With all of your buddies so close by, anyone shooting except for the very front line of the initial charge creates too great a risk of friendly fire.

Also as one of the cops, they explained to us that we had been trapped underground for some time by Bane and had just been freed to take back the city, that's why our uniforms were dirty. So it makes sense that a lot of our guns would have been jammed by dirt or rusted a bit by exposure to water with no way to clean them. As for the extras playing Bane's mercs, most of them had [dummy] AK-47s and other automatics, while we had barettas. Even in a scenario where the cops' guns worked, we were hopelessly outgunned...so it's to our advantage to engage them in a brawl-- level the field. Also, by that point in the movie, it's clear to the cops that Batman isn't their enemy--right before our charge, we're told that he swoops in, like you said, and fires on the camo Tumblers (not sure if he does this with the Bat or not)...so that's why the cops don't shoot at him. If anything, it doesn't make sense that Bane's guys didn't try to mow us all down...only a few extras had to pretend that they got shot.

I heard they're adding a CGI Joker. Johnny Depp will be the motion capture actor.

Hmm.... very creative WB. This's print ad by DirecTV :slap

Not sure whether this was ever cleared up. Turns out this poster from a bunch of pages ago is a fake/fan poster. Apparently a DirecTV ad guy swiped it (unless the fan swiped it over a year ago, and they swiped it back). Heh.

I've seen a lot of great fan posters. It's a real shame everything is CGI now and edited and cropped on photoshop. Remember the Drew Struzan posters from back in the day? Good stuff. Now everything feels really fake and manufactured. Lazy clip art.
