Thanx for the optimism.
I'm not worried. We go through Hurricane season every year, and Tampa hasn't been hit since when??? (knocks on wood)
I wonder how off far that would throw the planet's axis.
The 8.8 one in Chile apparently shortened the day by a millisecond, and moved the earth approximately 3 centimeters in it's orbit. Or something like that.

The one in Chile shortened the day by 2.6 millionths of a second. The one that caused the big tital wave (2004?) shortened the day by 6.8. Get busy living or get busy dying!
Thanks a lot!

I know this kind of stuff is being reported, and I'm not bashing you, but that is the dumbest thing ever. How the hell would people know this?
One little earthquake in one country can move the whole earth off it's axis? Really? I'm guessing when the world was created the earth was spinning all different directions and flinging off it's axis every hour or so.
2012 is coming and l cant wait to see the results.hopefully im the only one left.because l liked i am legend.lol
I don't know how they know it, but surely it's measurable. I just find it fascinating.
what........you live in S.F.?
Yup. So it sucks when you hear ish like that (heard it before you put it in here too). Last thing you wanna hear is that you're living somewhere destined to be destroyed in the near future.
