I'm all over this. Loved the first one. Recently watched it on TV with my 2 boys and they loved it as well. Taking the family to see EQ2 when we get back from vacation.

Cool, didn't know they were making another one. The first one was very satisfying. The only thing better than seeing total ****s getting what's coming to them would be if there were no ****s in the first place but since there is I'm glad they make movies like these.

This caught me by surprise as well. When I watched Equalizer with my kids a few months ago, they asked me if there would be a sequel. I told them that to my knowledge, Denzel hasn't done a single sequel in all his decades as an actor so...don't count on it. Just out of curiosity, I googled Equalizer 2 after I said that to them and I saw an announcement that EQ2 was releasing on July 20th. We were all pretty excited when we found out.

I hope they acknowledge that in the original series McCall would call upon a few disgraced agents to help him, Mickey Kostmayer (Keith Szarabajka) being the usual accomplice of McCall's. Then there was the Rambo-esque Jacob Stock (Robert Joy) and the weaselly Jimmy (Mark Margolis), who was an electronics and surveillance expert.
