Not sure what specifically wrong that you're mentioning about him. Although what he writes/say is basically theoretical and out there that it's hard to prove such and such. What Mr. Green disagree most about him is not his professional works; more of his view as an atheist. Life and reality is so vast that such and such should includes the paranormal and possibly the supernatural. But not everyone is saying we should go as far as religion. A man of his field, it is only natural that he believe in such discipline.

I know he elaborated exhaustively on modern cosmology; most of his work is grounded in it, and it doesn't square for me, logically. Simply per the Law of Identity, the universe works out to be a finite, unbounded, plenum. Either logic is, or a Big Bang universe is. I don't see how you can have both. The begged question is, how do you stand on extensive logical chains of reasoning to up-end the method in its highest applications?

I think atheism was one of the things he had right. I don't think he believed it for the right reasons though.

There is no limit to the problems that can be solved by pure imagination. A cavalry of Venusian unicorns at the border would be cheaper than a wall. They eat sand, after all. And we'll just tax the Martians' parking spaces to right the power imbalance between us (humans just can't compete with alien trade advantages). Aliens are cheap. Making **** up is priceless. No problem is too big for a man who doesn't let reality stop him.

Where's the money to pay for this?

The older I get, the more simple my mindset becomes.

The only thing more offensive is the U.S. Military budget.

That doesn't mean I don't appreciate the fine men and woman who have done their part past and present, I just think humanities priorities are out of whack. If I were of higher intelligence from outside this planet I would NOT LAND HERE.

Be careful of the typical intelligence of norm. If we base intelligence in relation to humanity, these aliens will come for us and in a bad way. We won't last long. Stephen Hawken was right in this respect.

Whoever controls the moon will control the planet. It wouldn't suprise me if the dark side of the moon was already being partially settled.

i would land in bangkok. for 50 bucks you get a hearty meal, 2 beers and a BJ.

Since it'll cost thousands of $$$ just to transport a single pound to say Moon. And judging that there is no real oxygen on Mars, excavating would be through electrical. Curing cement is questionable on Mars to say the least. But rest easy, we may get a couple of underground rooms on Mars. And with proper solar panels in place, we just may get our 2 rooms on Mars, in a few hundreds yrs. Cheers to the first inhabitants.

On the other hand, they might have re-engineered crashed UFO and is currently building a humongous Star Trek Enterprise....free at last.
