I'm really glad that I held back from ordering these. I have the entire Bond 12" line but something about these rehashes always kept me from pulling the trigger finger. It's a shame that this line will be kaput... A Daniel Craig Bond (well two... one in his Madagasgar clothes to go with a Sebastien Foucan bombmaker) tuxedo and maybe a Le Chiffre would have been nice. With so many fans worldwide and so many unmade villains, Bond girls, and others (Cleese as Q... Judi Dench as M....) it really is a shame. Oh well, at least I got a Jaws.

You nailed that one right on the head!! :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl
And those hands ARE huge....

You know, I'm not so sure about the hand thing.

They don't look all that different in size to me. The paint is applied a little more thickly on one, though.

Maybe it's the size of the gun.

No euphamism meant. :monkey3

I recieved a 12" Brosnan tonight.... only it was delivered by FedEX and the labled said that it weighed 17 POUNDS!!!

I was expecting my new (fixed) Roger Moore PF tonight and was totally bummed and shocked when the FedEX guy was standing at the door with a Brosnan that I DID NOT ORDER! Now... I have to call Sideshow and ask why they charged me $250 for a 12" figure that I did not want. I have been so excited all week to get my Moore replacement and now I will just have to wait longer.

Oh man, what a horrible mix up. I would be bummed too. Maybe they'll give you a free t-shirt or something.

Why does he have brown hair and brown eyes, instead of black hair and blue eyes?

Oh, man!

This figure just keeps gettin' better and better!

I could let the hair slide, but the eyes too? Yikes.

The factory paint job doesn't ruin it for me, but the beyond sloppy tailoring sure does. How can the Sideshow artists be proud of their work and expect us to pay for it? 1/6 figures are all about the clothing and accessories. And here is shows that clothing is Sideshow's least priority. Sad.

Bottom line, these were just thrown together as a quick cash-in to coincide with the theatrical release of Casino Royale. I'm sure Craig was planned to be the final figure released in the Legacy line but was cancelled when Craig raised his objections about the likeness which is understandable when you look at these sculpts. Sideshow is such a great company but they just aren't consistent. They are either hit or miss. It's sad to see such a great company continuously getting shown up by Hot Toys for superior 1:6 quality and craftmanship. If anything I hope it will give SS some incentive to step it up to compete or just get out of the 1:6 market altogether. They obviously do not care anymore about secondary licences that are not as profitable as $tar Bore$.

I've got the Connery legacy on order...but now I have serious concerns. I can't say I'm impressed with this Brosnan offering at all.

Its too bad. The Bond line was the thing that got me into Sideshow in the first place. Its a disappointment that the line didn't sell well, but that's life. But I have serious misgivings about keeping a line alive at this level. Unless I could pick them up for $20 at TRU, then I'd understand.

Cancelled mine as well once I found out they would appear in stores here (in Oz).

I see it will eventually sell at a discount.

I've got this one on the way already with my Legolas, T-800, Boromir... I received the shipping notice and the expected 15-20 day arrivial notices...
I'm getting all the legacy collection, bar Sean Connery - Already have Dr No. I don't like doubling up, but I really did want that Goldfinger white tux jacket...

Might get it at a "discount" ;)

Think we all know a crusade will do zilch.Look at the good-humoured threads for Medieval f'ng Kurgan.I so hoped they d make one as a gesture for the fans and i would ve bought one even though i have no interest in Highlander. If Sideshow ca nt make a figure of arguably the greatest Bond since Connery when they have the rights to the line it s a dead duck before it starts.I really would like to know what the Hell is going on over there now with regard to these 1/6 lines. They do nt seem to give a stuff about the loyal fans that made them what they are anymore.

I've got to say that this isn't a bad doll by any stretch. The suit looks quite good and the eyebrows are not a big deal. The stitching at the bottom could be better, but again, it's not a big deal. I'll be keeping mine and finish out the Sideshow Bond line for the time being. The packaging is also very nice, although generic. Since it's the first time I'm seeing it, it's hard not to like. I'm sure when the fifth one ships I'll be much less inclined to likethe packaging.

Hopefully the edition size will be fairly low and this will be a decent collectible down the line. If it's now, well I'm happy to have it in my collection either way.

I've said it before... time to start a NEW crusade.

Maybe we just need to do what Ironman or DarkArtist did and commission our own group sculpt.

Of course, I'd be onboard for villains only. I'd love a great Goldfinger or Blofeld sculpt! These villains need representation.

That I would be so down for. I'd go for Blofeld and Goldfinger, but most of all I want a Red Grant! That would be so sweet!

Let's do it.
