It was a bit weird going in this flick because of Ezra Millers real life......

Movie was ok for what it is, a silly comic book romp. I mean, name another movie that starts out with a superhero putting a baby in a microwave!

There were boring stretches, lots of filler, lots of cringe, no consistent tone. Turrrrible CGI.

It was neat seeing Nicholas Superman and that damn spider. Kevin Smith always ran from a interesting challenge.

RF should have been hinted. A yellow streak or something.

Supergirl was alright. There are some cute pics on instagram of her playing with her barbie. lol

Keaton was good. It was nice seeing him return. Even if all his stuff was unbelievable. But it's a comic book movie. Not some grounded BS. I was big on the 1989 movie when it came out. I still think it is fantastic for mood, design, sets, the vehicles. It is a dark gritty world come to life that nothing has topped yet. But rewatching it a few times the last couple decades . . . . it's boring. Great looking scenes draaaaag out. Boring. Keaton Bats looks fantastic, but that is it.

BvS Batman is mine. Love the portrayal in that flick. In the Flash he is just there. In a terrible looking outfit. Ug.

Oh well. Flash is worth a watch. Nothing makes me want to revisit it. Certainly not make several posts about it on toy forum . . .

I enjoyed the film.

The good

Miller did a good job playing two different people.
Batman was great in it. Both of them.
The opening action sequence and the Russia sequence were the best.
The CGI effect of the two Barry Allen interacting with each other throughout the film was seamless and perfectly executed. You don't even notice that it's an actual special effect.
I liked Supergirl. She looked perfect in her costume, maybe the best costume in the film.
I liked that it made sense that Super girl couldn't beat Zod due to her lack of sun exposure, unlike Superman who grew up on earth with years of sunlight exposure.
I thought it was interesting that this version of Barry Allen is Hispanic. That was kind of cool.

The bad

The CGI action was awful.
The third act was a mess visually.
Hermit retired Batman refusing to help out Flash initially is such a cliche at this point. Can't wait to see Indiana Jones do the same next month.
No 89 Batmobile in action was a wasted opportunity.
Barry Allen # 2 was annoying.
The final scene between Barry and his mother made no sense. She couldn't tell it was her son?
The multiverse CGI was such a visual mess that this film will be impossible to watch 10 years from now. It's SPAWN (film) bad.

Overall, the film was entertaining. I'll watch it again when it's o TV or on blueray.

Waiting for the gif of it. Someone should take a shot at where he takes it out and rewind it so it looks like he’s putting it in the microwave with that crazy smile on his face.

Some of those shots of Affleck Batman in the beginning scared the crap out of me. He looked creepy standing there on the bridge with that smile on his face. The crooked rubber mask and grin made him looked unhinged, like he just escaped Arkham.

This is just tasteless.

Eh I thought it worked pretty well, and was no more tasteless than seeing George Reeves's Superman or Adam West's Batman again. It might have been different if they had him in an actual dialogue or action scene interacting with people, but this was nothing but a brief shot of him on a rooftop.

Hands down this is the best review of this movie, wow that was an excellent breakdown.

I’m ignoring my review i’m going with yours lol

Oh no, he's turning. First a "pile", now "half good". Plus, he wants a 2nd viewing.

Why, Dimi, why?

Looks like I dodged another bullet.

I'll watch this on Max in about 3 months.
Haven't seen it and started reading spoilers today. Maybe I'll watch it on streaming when I'm bored someday.

I abandoned the MCU a while ago and am no longer up to date on *that* universe because it got played out and weak, and IMO the DCEU was never remotely as strong (although I didn't mind MoS except for a couple of elements) ... anyway ... capes look like they're done for the next long while, unless you're looking at more standalone, quirky films.

MCU caught lightning in a bottle and they've all been trying to sell us glowsticks ever since.

At that point in time she had only known him as an 8-9 year old. Not the 25 year old man she interacts with. Even if she thought he was similar, her son is at home/school and much younger.

What also confused me was that he was wearing a "disguise"...but I totally forgot that he would have been a child at that point, so I guess the disguise was so that the other Flash didn't know he was there too.
Yeah. Well if you think about it, it is so his past self from about a week ago doesn't recognize him.

I don't think Keaton Bat should have had a future ... it's just Hollywood necromancers up to their old tricks.

They should know better than to resurrect these characters. Didn't they watch Pet Semetary?

I thought he was good in the film and good enough to play an older Batman in a solo film. Supposedly, the original ending was going to keep Keaton and Supergirl alive.

Taking what you say at face value, is crotchety old Batman still interesting so many years after that TDKR novel? I'm not sure, personally. With good writing and directing anything I guess anything is possible, but I have little faith in that these days for capes.

The Flash bombed with a $55 mill opening.

That's too bad for Keaton Bat's future. :(
This is abysmal. "Green Lantern" made, what, $52 million? Like, if you take inflation into account, Green Lantern made $71 million opening weekend.

Argh. I need to talk a walk. I really hope this doesn't damn The Flash to the same fate, being put on ice for over a decade while we joke about microwaving babies, bad CGI, and the actor terrorizing Hawaii.

Keaton is great. I would have paid good money for a Keaton-focused third Batman film, Batman Beyond style. That definitely is dead now.
