Rocky has been inspiring me ever since i was a kid, grew up watching those movies. My collection is based on Rocky and Rambo and the first Rocky figures Hot Toys made was what got me into this hobby,it started there.

yeah we have very similar taste. i know what you mean about growing up with rocky and rambo! i think it was my mother's influence - her favourite movies are first blood, die hard and predator :lol my 1st 1/6 was actually an HT stallone fig too - the first blood part 2 rambo. funny thing about bruce is, i remember loving everything about him as a little kid, but only saw his movies in their entirety much later when i was about 13. that was after i got obssessed with the crow and started learning more about the lee family.

I always knew who Bruce was,but i didn`t watch his movies before 6 years ago and from there i got to learn more and more about him.Actually the first movie i saw was about him,not with him which was "Dragon-The Bruce Lee Story".

Saw Crow once many years ago, can`t remember anything...:lol

did he end by roundhouse kicking his teacher in the face? if he didn't he should have. we need to bring the roundhouse kick and bruce lee battle cry back into our schools!! this high school musical nonsense has to go!!!

The "Bruce Lee Battle Cry" is at least in part why he died at an early age. In Chinese martial arts (and their descendants) breathing is an important component of all activities. In fact, breathing is the key to all power.

Grand Master Ark Wong tried to teach this to BL. He warned that BL was breathing incorrectly and would die a young man.

Wong outlived Lee.

The irreparable damage done to the martial arts by Lee cannot be measured. Everything from helping to make Nunchaku (an Okinawan weapon not Chinese) illegal, to having every lowlife and trouble maker attracted to the martial arts.

To this day, martial artists cannot workout in public without some idiot yelling out some variation of the Bruce Lee Battle cry.

In short; Bruce Lee died young because he was a screw-up not a hero.

BTW, Ark Wong was in his 80's when he kicked BL's ass.

I have to agree about the HSM stuff though. :)

Bruce Lee died because he was allergic to marijuana. He slipped into a coma and died.

mumbo jumbo

The irreparable damage done to the martial arts by Lee cannot be measured. Everything from helping to make Nunchaku (an Okinawan weapon not Chinese) illegal,

Bruce Lee did not cause nunchaku's to become illegal. Morons who couldn't handle a nunchaku and damaged themselves and others because they knew nothing about it caused nunchakus to become illegal. Bruce Lee actually hated weapons, using the body as a weapon is enough. The weapons in the movies were just for entertainment.

to having every lowlife and trouble maker attracted to the martial arts.

No he opened the gates of martial arts to everyone, not some exclusive club.

To this day, martial artists cannot workout in public without some idiot yelling out some variation of the Bruce Lee Battle cry.

Battle cries are a natural element of martial arts, correct breathing and imposing your adversary come together in this. Bruce had his own unique way of doing this. He is not responsible for people copying his battle cry.

In short; Bruce Lee died young because he was a screw-up not a hero.

A disgusting statement. You should be ashamed.

BTW, Ark Wong was in his 80's when he kicked BL's ass.

Source? You can really talk some trash.

They ought to both be signed. I just ordered one and they told me there were two available, so that leaves one up for grabs.

I guess once the signed editions are gone they'll be opening up the remaining 4950 for pre-order because they also said "The official pre order for KATO will begin today. We will be releasing more official pictures within the next couple of days. Preorder deadline: June 10th, 2009. "

Looks like they'll be shipping them out from that day on. Cool. We should have them in three to four weeks time.
