I'm pretty sure thats probably the case but it still appears that The Hobbit will be in both films whether mostly in the first or spread evenly we will have to wait and see.

The Hobbit does not warrant two movies. The book is anorexic compared to The Lord of The Rings.

I know some of you will wet your pants, but Del Toro is overrated and should not be entrusted with creating a new story line in Tolkein's world.
