Nah, they just repainted Nolte's face.

My mind has wiped Ewoks from existance...

Filoni is still an executive producer and would be one of the people who approves scripts regardless who wrote them. He is to blame just as much as anyone else at Lucasfilm for the debacle known as Book of Boba. I don't think he is anywhere near as good a storyteller as people give him credit.
Just hearing what Faverau said in that Boba behind the scenes/making of show made it clear they were on the wrong track from the very beginning.

Who knows if they were put on that track by Kennedy or someone higher up after thinking that Mando Boba was a bit too violent we'll never know. But their excuses to not make him a violent crime lord i.e a Godfather type and not a Walter White type was THE bad decision which all this stems from.

If they can make his Mando appearances tougher then I can live with that. Anything to make him less like the show, which I haven't re-watched at all. Like many others I would guess.

Updated with the very first figure from the canon-breakin' OWK. Not surprised it's a trooper.

I kind of like how this design is continuing the evolving design of SW armor, but I won't be buying. $300 Disney troopers are a no go for me. Plus I still need to actually watch the show...
that was fast bro

I still need to actually watch the show...
No hurry. it adds nothing to the canon (except screw it up somewhat)
Doesn't reveal or make Kenobi or Vader any more interesting than they already were, or have any insight into their characters. Just has them make stupid inconsistent and out of character decisions to move the Riva plot forward.
It does however add two mediocrely directed saber duels.

I disagree. The last episode added a little bit about Vader and Kenobi relations, connecting to Ep IV encounter.

Updated. Howard stated that if he could make any comic book character, he'd make Luke from Dark Empire, but instead we get this forgettable doll for the first entry into the comic book series. Lame. This is one of the easiest PASSES in HT history.

However, it is entertaining that lazy "exclusive" repaints sell better than figures from Rise of Palpatine. LMAO!

I think pretty much anything outsells ST figures.

Curious did he say that before the Disney sequels?
When Dark Empire *(in-part) still existed as our zeitgeists default Sequels?

Cause yeah I'de love to see Dark Empire Luke put out there as the deliberate antithesis to the pos Disney version.
I can see it under some Comic/Mythos/Legends branding.

*To the dorkster about to point out, -but the Thrawn Trilogy was the default Sequels-, no I'm not excluding the Thrawn Trilogy.

Updated. Excited to read all the upcoming "looks like Tom Cruise" posts for this fig.

Is HT gonna make a $300 Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeva doll when Hasbro can't even sell the character's light saber? I'm interested to see...

I don't understand this. He has the SW license. I think Lucasfilm plays strong arm and owns the rights to anything anyone made in regards to SW. Has to be Lucasfilm just strictly wanting new product pushed or main Saga pushed when nothing else is going on.

Yep. The managed to give us a Jane Foster before a Padmé Amidala. Could Padmé be part of that elusive AOTC 20th anniversary wave 2? Lets hope so.
