Anyone able to communicate with one_sixth_bastard/David Eason on here or already have knowledge of commission prices with him? I don't have instagram but would love to reach via email to start a dialogue. Has immense experience making popular movie flick Werewolves. Apparently has had a hand in making the 1:3 statue by Premium Collectibles Studio that's up on Sideshow to order.

This is what he's recently opened commissions on. I recently got some Howling merchandise that being steelbook and limited edition thru Grindhouse. So I'm a serious inquirer.

Is that the same that Dean Knight reviewed?
It's quite impressive, but I find that there's something odd about the lower legs.

Here’s mine, it’s an incredible figure.View attachment 740341
Just seeing your reply since for some reason the notifications on my account that are enabled aren't consistent whatsoever.

Thank you for sharing this. This is the first time I'm seeing someone actually move the legs in a walking stance since the only person sadly I've seen on YouTube who has it is DeanKnight and we know DeanKnight......(if you like him great but to call it a review is a bit of a stretch, I'll say it makes you want the damn figure whatever he reviews for yourself to get your own hands on it!).

Even the older version looks solid. Really excited for the commission I did for this new version. He seems to really like The Howling the most. Looks like he's done it about 8-9 times for commission work and that PCS statue. Really appreciate the share!

Edit 12/05/2024: he actually did a decent job in his part 2 of showing what it can do, as in actually touching the figure! My apologies. Although generally he doesn't.

Not the same one DeanKnight has "reviewed" (nothing against you putting it like that it's just wow I genuinely don't know how he's watched. I appreciate a true light showing, but other than that it stops there. Like you gotta touch the damn thing cause as you're saying slightly here right now, the legs look a bit odd as in you sound curious about them. Wouldn't it be great if there was a review on video of someone actually working them???? Like jeez damn kills me so ppl that watch him more power to them lol.)

I'll let you know I've commissioned him. Was able to get in touch. Sorry my account is set for getting notifications when someone replies and yet I don't really get them. It's odd.

And question when you have the chance: what is articulation like for the arms, torso, legs (especially the legs)? I just want to be certain I'm fully set on knowing what I can do and what I should not do when moving its joints.
The articulation seems pretty good. I prefer to find a stance I like and that’s it, I’m not a great one for crazy poses.
The maker is a great guy to deal with and his wait times are very realistic. He’s just finishing a 1/6 Kessler wolf from America Werewolf which I should have in January.

Yes it is although mine is a different colour variation. The legs look absolutely fine to me in hand. The bend in the bottom of the legs and the feet are fantastic.

Oh did you get the office color variant? Is that the one you're talking about.

Ah and I saw the Kessler he's doing, glad he is for those that like that movie. Thank you the feedback on articulation. Can't wait to have it in hand.

Also just replying to set the record straight concretely, in case this is found on searches (I've been getting pings from others in the 1/6 community, especially monster horror related, about recent pic shared in here, courtesy of magpie9 [thank you again for sharing], about its looks): for those interested in this figure and want to gain a sense of articulation, DeanKnight's part 2 video is actually a good source. Very rare are there cases to where he shows you on screen touching a figure. Completely my fault in searching that thoroughly and loading it up for myself to watch. User error. Apologies once again for saying there was no articulation showcasing.

The only info I know so far of the newest version, since someone else provided this info to me cause they have it, is that the hands don't move and are fixed cause the forearms are one whole piece, so like those seamless forearms you can buy for those figures that are arranged that way. Rest is as supposedly as like another seamless phicen body.

Again will be happy to show once completed for me. Guy's done this IP about 8-9 times from the look of it on his profile (viewed thru one of those anonymous viewing sites for those like myself that don't have instagram), so really has honed his craft. Seems like a solid route for a commission.

It's funny, 'cause I had never actually watched any of Dean's Howling reviews, so after your comment I finally did watch them. The one where he showcases the articulation is very interesting. I was surprised about the apparent lack of articulation on the toes. That basically renders the articulation on the entire leg useless...
Still, amazing looking figure.

Sorry I've been pretty busy this week with work, plus reading the original source material that spawned the movie. Anyways, yeah I'll definitely do a bit more with posing and showcase it off here to share my findings on the limits. Like I kind of mentioned a but before, he actually showed some limits I didn't think he'd go that far to show, and looks like it maintains most of its original seamless body's articulation (with exception of that ankle area that you alluded to). Or it's there, but it's higher up now due to the type of leg style it's following but if you're trying to do "ankle pivot" you're in for a awkward jutted out bulge that doesn't make such a pose look natural.

But yes definitely will share my thoughts as well as poses once in hand. That goes for both the v1 & newer v2 "HD" versions. For others that see this post, highly recommend the books. However, like how The Howling's original story stops at basically the 1st movie followed up by some comics in 2017 (that ends on a cliffhanger since well trying to continue an original story in 2017 that's from 1981 of a niche genre admirable but dicey attempt), the novels stop bascially at the 2nd book with their original story. Only found out recently the 3rd is basically an alternative telling of pretty much all the events and characters as the primary characters from 1st 2 books are non-existent. Like why why why Mr. Brandner? Why? Anyways good reads recommend taking the time to read them as well.
