thats yours?????????????????

Yep. Cribbed a few ideas on hatching out forms from those Tetsuo Hara studies, but it's an original.

Jesus, that's fantastic.

Thank you :monkey3

That's awesome! For DC, I would always suggest Zod :monkey3 but you could go with someone underused like

Red Tornado

Animal Man

Ambush Bug

I'd love to do a classic comic-style Zod. Stamp and Shannon seem to get all the love nowadays. Definitely down for Animal Man and Ambush Bug at some point too (and anybody from the Giffen/DeMatteis JLI run, come to think of it). Think I'll start with Deadman though, he's always been my favourite criminally-underrated DC character.
man that GR is sick dude!!!
Thanks!

I'd love to have all those guys too. I just don't have any room for it all and I know that I would have to have everything like you do to feel satisfied! LOL

But that nemesis really completes the whole look!

Recently I picked up the BSAA and Battlesuit Jill figures. What a nightmare those were since they had QC issues and I had to replace them.

Definitely the center piece of that shelf. Looks great, Snake.

Thanks! It's definitely my largest 1/6 figure. Predators only come up to his shoulder.

nemesis sure has that colgate smile.haha

:lol yeah. I wish he came with a screaming sculpt, but they announced the tentacle/coatless version and he comes with one. Although I doubt it's backwards compatible since you he has a tentacle going into the back of his head which doesn't come out.

It's articulated, just like any other figure. For some reason you can't bend the right arm out at the shoulder, but they may have removed that feature since the top of his should has a tentacle that comes out and attaches on his back (which flexes since it's a type of bendable plastic)

He weighs a ton in comparison to standard figures, easily 1lb or more.

The regular mass produced Tyrants had giant trench coats too, but his was specifically designed to have his tentacles free so he can use them.

He's basically this, but heavily modified.

I decided to order a Dremel tool online and it should be here in a few days. I have no clue how to use one but the idea of having high speed Predator-style cutting discs terrifies me. Anybody has any experience and tips?

100% buy this to go with it. Precision cutting is the bomb! Its the best $23 you'll ever spend!

We all wish we could release our tentacles in public.

I've never used a dremel. Seems like it'd be intimidating--though I suppose if I could practice with it then eventually I'd get comfortable drilling into head sculpts.

I'm VERY intimidated. I'm not sure how to go about so I guess I'll experiment first.

they are a little tricky, but that attachment makes it 100 times easier to do precision work.

Anything I should take note? I know I'm supposed to wear goggles and gloves, but what kind of speed do I use to cut 1/6 heads? And is it a two hand job?

nah it aint nothin to be scared of... just practice on some wood or other junk. w/ dremels its more of a feel thing and getting used to it... the biggest issue is it wanting to "walk" on you when you are using it... but that's what that precision tool does in helping remove because you get more control w/ bits and such. as you can see in those pix on the right on that amazon page, the new handle that attaches to the dremel is much smaller and easier to hold and control. there's a variable speed dial on the dremel and you just find what works. there's no need to go at 10000 rpm when trying to do precision fine tuned cutting... so you can dial it back to get a more controllable speed. like i said its a touch and feel type thing you develop real quick after a few minutes practicing on some junk. it only requires your one hand w/ that attachment and you just set the dremel on the table.

and hit up harbor freight and pick this kit up... has everything under the sun in it! use on of their easy to find 20% coupons and it'll only run you like $15 bucks or so.

hope that helps! :wink1:

Oh, it helped greatly! Thank you!

That's my biggest issue with taking the first step, no one seems to address how scary it can get first time handling these things but you make it sound like it's something I can just do with some practice. Thanks for the links as well, I'll check those out! :duff
