I went through the process the other week and it said the NRD was $50? Kinda high for such a cheap figure.

ive been putting it off based off that i don't wanna start in w/ a new line!! got so much crap in boxes still that i am finding it harder to buy stuff now! i think i've found the solution to the obsessive buying... just don't open any of it! lol

i did pick up that marvel legends infinity gauntlet today... $99 super cheap at think geek and will make a pretty good prop with some weathering and such.

Dude I can’t wait to see your final product. I gotta pick it up too. Any idea what varnish you going to use?

Honestly, right out of the box it displays nice! I’ll probably highlight some of the details and black wash some of the background details to make them pop a little bit more. Probably fill-in the screw holes with some filler and touch those areas up. Doesn’t look like it needs a ton of attention. For $99, this is a no brainer If you like reasonable props. The sound effects are a little goofy in my opinion. I’ll probably take it apart and just re-wire everything so the sound effects are gone and the light up effects stay. Picked it up at think geek. They had a few in stock. Everywhere else was sold out.

I'm quite looking forward to the new Avengers movie, they fire on all cylinders of making dumb, enjoyable popcorn flicks. I've never walked off a Marvel movie feeling like I wasted my time.

Well if the leaks are any indication, this one will be a little different from the other marvel movies and that’s a good thing. Marvel needed a villain like this.

I hope the new Avengers movie is more serious than the last Thor. Waaaay too many jokes in that one. I don't mind humor in these films at all, but I don't want all of them full of ****** slapstick.

I'll be watching Ragnarok tomorrow. I don't know anything about it except that it's kinda sorta a Planet Hulk movie?

There's a little Planet Hulk setting, but it felt like DC cramming Doomsday into BvS. I would have rather seen them do a full Planet Hulk movie properly. There are some definite cool moments in the film though. Hela is ****ing fantastic and HOT. There were just too many goofy moments throughout the film that broke up what could have been a great serious Ragnarok film.

They still don’t have rights to do the hulk movies like planet hulk. That would’ve been a great movie. I also rolled my eyes as much of the humor in Thor 3. But to be fair, they did a serious Thor in 1 & part 2. Part 2 was awful.

Universal still holds the rights to Hulk, hence we haven't seen a solo film in a decade now. I thought Mark Ruffalo was such a fine casting choice that it's a shame he doesn't even have his own film.

I like Ruffalo as Banner. It really is too bad that he can't have his own Hulk film. It feels like a tease to use Hulk enough in the other films to make me want a full film I can't have.

Joe brings up a really great and vital point in saying that the closing of Toys "R" Us will have massive consequences for the entire toy industry, specifically for adult collectors. The companies I care for most like NECA are at a major disadvantage in comparison to companies like Hasbro. It's a damn shame.

I agree it sucks for the people that they are closing, but honestly I have had nothing but crap luck at any toys r us picking up collectible items. They’re complete lack of stopping the piece of **** scalpers from buying up anything that has significant value has led a great many people to give up even going to the stores. These other smaller companies have just as much option to sell online and through Amazon and continue being profitable if they change their business model from brick-and-mortar to online. NECA Never had anything worthwhile at any of my local toys R us’s here in Orlando to begin with. Anything I ever purchased from them I always got online regardless. There’s nothing that they had in their stores that I could not purchase online. To me the only downfall is the employees losing their jobs. Otherwise it’s no big deal to me whatsoever as every item I ever wanted to purchase, I could never get there to begin with.
