It's definitely hurried along, right from the start of the film. No type of set up at all, just Waller assembling the team. Were just thrown into it and the film is running the entire time without a break.

I don't know how some people have gone to see this half a dozen times or more in the theater, though I suppose I could sit through SS easier than another viewing of BvS.

I couldn't sit through SS again. I honestly think BvS is more watchable. I actually can't believe the mess I just sat through was ostensibly made by the same man responsible for Fury.

That's yet another aspect of this movie that was disappointing--knowing he can make a fantastic film yet this is what we got. If it was due to studio interference then WB needs to get the **** out of the way and let the people they hire do their jobs.

I haven't even seen SS yet. But I already know it's more palatable. :lol

I haven't seen all of BvS yet aside from the bulk of clips on Youtube, but I can already assume I'd be of the same opinion.

:duff I was especially proud of that post.

i would rep you if i could

Suicide Squad, or maybe more appropriately, 'What The **** Is Happening? The Motion Picture' is one of the worst blockbusters I've seen in a very long time. The bitter taste of it is only amplified by the glimpses of a much better movie presumably left in bits on the cutting room floor.

The editing, pacing and structure of this film were execrable. Whoever assembled the final cut clearly works in advertising and doesn't understand how to cut a film together. Lots of rushed-looking CGI. Rushed in general, really. There's no room to breathe in this film, no atmosphere, no tension. Not one of its payoffs is earned by their meager setups.

I actually liked Leto's Joker, more than I expected to - but it's very hard to judge when his appearance in this film is reduced to a handful of disjointed scenes. Biggest surprise was Jai Courtney for once being likeable as Boomerang. Enchantress was great visually, but again it felt like all of her character development and motivations were left in the editing suite.

:lol:lol:lol:lol :lol :lecture

I've decided to erase my memories of Suicide Squad.

If it took it's time instead of running at full speed the entire time, maybe the scenes would of sunk in and we could get attached to something... I don't know what to say that could do anything for it. Although like you said, the cutting room floor probably was a little too trigger happy with axing scenes. Leto apparently filmed enough to do a straight Joker film.

Does anybody have the Batman/TMNT hardcover? I'm not big on crossovers, but the reviews seems pretty good for this one.
