As bad as Cars and it's sequels are, it wont go away anytime soon since it makes them enormous amounts of money in toy sales alone.

If a Cars sequel means they can finance gems like Wall-E, which may not find as big an audience, then bring them on, I don't have to see everything Pixar makes.

I saw The Incredibles again over the weekend and still loved it.
The sequel needs to have an equally engaging and humorous story.
Glad to see Brad Bird is on this. :yess:

I really hope they don't follow the money and make a Toy Story 4. As much as I love the Toy Story characters the third film was the perfect ending.

I enjoyed everything from Pixar. Some were just better than others. Incredibles was one of their best. The recent Monsters University sequel was pretty good

My instinct is to agree with you, yet Toy Story 2 and 3 were better than 90% of all CG animated films I've seen. Yeah, Cars 2 sucked, but. . .it's probably going to be a case-by-case thing.

I agree that the Toy Story sequels are an exception to the rule. There was just so much potential there. TS2 had the nice collector toy angle to it and TS3 had let enough time pass it had the child moving on, passing toys down to younger kids theme to it. Neither were mad solely for the money like the Cars sequels are. If they can turn out Toy Story level sequels, I'd be OK with that, but Cars 2 wasn't all that great and neither was Monsters U. Finding Dory could be pretty good though. Incredibles 2 is going to have be really good to stand out in the midst of the golden age of super hero films now.

Cars 2 and MU should never be in the same sentence. While MU wasn't as heartfelt as its predecessor, it was still a very fun and entertaining film.

Why does pixar make sequels to movies that should of been made years ago? I don't care but its weird. Toy story 3 came out like 8 yrs after toy story 2? Like damn why the long wait?

They weren't planning on making a third one back then. Then they decided that they could work with the idea of it taking place a decade later and Andy being older.

Pixar aren't like Marvel, they weren't planning thirty years into the future. The Incredibles 2 coming out years ago would have been good, but I'm not complaining because they made other original movies instead.
