So...the winner has to pay half (probably around $200+) for maybe 6 months maximum with the money in their hands...and seller can run away or even close the account during that time. And you CAN'T get your money back from paypal/ebay/credit card since it's over 30 days. He might be the honest seller on Earth, but what happens if he the seller passed away due to a heart-attack during that time?

So why do people post pre-order items when it's uncertain of release date?

That's why eBay rules prohibit auctions for preorder items that won't ship within 30 days. But people still do it all the time. Buyer beware...

The promise of more is also exciting. And based upon Trev's portrait, I suspect they have him hard at work on another Indy sculpt.

oh wow! that was a cool video. Too many nice things said about my work on this thing though...yeesh. I guess the guys know how self deprecating I am.

irish- ha! It's okay, man, I've got a really special piece sketched up for you. I took some creative license...Indy and Mutt swinging through the trees with monkeys in the background. It'll rock! I'll even throw in some prairie dogs free of charge

And should the moment arrive when I get a call to do another Indy piece for Sideshow, I'll drop whatever else I'm doing immediately. Regardless though, I can't wait to see what else they're cookin' up!!

Seriously. Trev might be the only person on the planet that can capture an accurate Harrison Ford likeness.

And as good as the sculpt is, the clothing just makes the whole thing look even better. But I tend to be less excited about the clothing because we've been down the proto to final road far too many times...

I agree.The proto is fantastic but we know corners will be cut during final production.

That's why getting this sketch card for $40-50 whatever it was is a steal.
