Check out the recent work the I had done to Indy's right arm:

This looks great. I may do this to mine.

Good work.

I would use the original jacket.....

I am starting to think that it is too long as well, though there are a few scenes were it is "around" that length.

I will most likely have one made that is exactly between the original jacket length that it came with and the long one that I had made here in Hong Kong. The original that came with it is way too short, not even the jacket in the "Flying Wing" fight sequence is not that short. Though I have seen picture here were it looks like some batches of the jacket actually went below waist length. And I easily got the worst paint job (having that re-done right now).

Also, the arm I had made is replace-able, meaning that I might have another arm made the holds the pistol up at hat height (only time and finances will tell).

Having said all of that, I still think that it is an amazing piece.

Thanks for the comments.

AWESOME whip from Joe Strain!
Regarding your custom jacket - the sleeves are too long and the jacket length is too long.
The length of the original Raiders jacket was 23 inches at the front. That means your 1/4 scale jacket should be 5.75 inches long. The pockets on the original are 6.5 inches wide x 8 inches tall, so your 1/4 scale pockets should be 1.6 wide x 2 inches tall.

As a good guide to whether your jacket is correctly proportioned, Indy's pants belt sits at approximately the centre line of the jacket pockets when his arms are at his side.

Also, the sleeves on the Raiders jacket should be longer than the length of the jacket Ford has long arms and a short torso). Sideshow got their sleeve length ok on the jacket but they got the body length wrong.

I don't know anyone who makes 1/4 scale jackets.
I was just letting you know the measurements from the full size Raiders jacket so you could give the information to your jacket maker so that he can get the proportions accurately sized for the 1/4 scale statue.
Let me know if you have any luck!

Chris

Thanks Chris ... Who makes the best Jacket for the 1/4 scale in your opinion?

^^^ cool!

definitely agree with those who said that he looks better with the strands taken out of his jacket collar.

Here is my Streets of Cairo Indy:

Special thanks to Mike Fisher (the custom belt guy and resident genius), Joe Strain for the actual working Bullwhip, and Sean Ho for the Hair, Hat, Face and Body re-paint.

Here it is with the final version of the jacket. This jacket went through about 5 complete revisions, from scratch, and is actual very close to the original jacket, only it is made from extremely thin goat skin (which is why it hangs so well on his body) and is 2 cm longer (one version was 4 cm longer and did not look right as was pointed out to me here).
