No. This is the EX, so the head slides right out. I'm assuming the regular version is attached? I'm sure somebody here knows. That looks great. Was it hard to take the "head" off?
...need to get one of mfisher's 1/4 gun belt and holster set one of these days.
Just to let you know, the bag strap on these are a bit light in color but if you take just a bit of natural leather conditioner ( I used Pecards) across the top of the strap it darkens it up quite a bit and is good for preserving the leather, which will in time, no doubt, crack and fall of due to it's thinness.
Thanks for the tip...I'll have to try that at some point if I don't replace it entirely.Just to let you know, the bag strap on these are a bit light in color but if you take just a bit of natural leather conditioner ( I used Pecards) across the top of the strap it darkens it up quite a bit and is good for preserving the leather, which will in time, no doubt, crack and fall of due to it's thinness.
I did notice that about the hat. What I did was worked watered down flat tones I used on the hat into the ribbon (along with dry brushing) to dull it down a bit. I like the fact that the black underbase keep some separation between the 2 depending on the lighting.Another thing I noticed on some of these repaints is that some people (not sure about you, Mark) have the hat ribbon painted black, when it was in fact a very dark brown. It only looks black because of the ribbon fabric and the way it reflects the light. The man who prepared the hats for Raiders (Richard Swales) also confirmed this many years ago as did the Deborah Nadoolman, the costume designer on Raiders, when I spoke to her several years back.
