Can't take anyone's opinion on a film seriously, when their username is a character from 1 OK film in a terrible trilogy. Sorry

Coming from someone with a user name of a character from a franchise that provides more laughs than scares I find it hard to take you seriously too.

Evil Dead > Riddick films

:)

Plus don't Bad mouth ASH!!!! The fact that Evil Dead 2 provides more laughs then scares is what makes it brilliant!

Army of Darkness... Not so much.

this movie was a pretty good time. the imax 3d was a bit dark and blurry and the kid didn't do it for me, but those animals were badass. Also Scarlett Johanson seemed so out of place for her 3 mins of screen time. It sounded like they didn't even bother to edit or properly mix her audio into the movie.

What parts made you tear up?

I noticed there were some parts that tried to strike an emotional chord but failed miserably IMO.

The director did the film injustice imo I mean, the kid lost his parents, all that was left was some footnote in the film. Also at the end of the cartoon.. He is left infatuated by someone "just like him"

They kinda skimmed over all the assimilation back into his tribe.

Do you mean Mogilli going back to man? Considering how the film ends and the journey he takes I'm not sure what's to get into regarding that. It's not in the film and that's not the story they were telling. But it does leave room to bring that into the sequel that's now being rumored for 2018 so there's still a chance we'll see it.

For me the tear jerker moments were when Mogilli said goodbye to his mom and when he saves the baby elephant, especially the baby elephant part, that's the one that hit me hard.

It's the moment that not only shows the animals how good man can be but it's the point when it's realized he should be nothing more than what he actually is. It is actually the most important scene in the whole movie and it was done perfectly, it was set up perfectly, it was executed perfectly and it's payoff was perfect.

I think the only thing I can really criticize is the "I want to be like you" song as it was the only full song in the film, I could have done without that, King Louie probably could have been introduced earlier to help set him up but that's minor and doesn't take anything away from the film for me.

I liked Army of Darkness... I'm one of those people who loves that film... :lol

Got around to seeing this, excellent film overall and I enjoyed this 10x more than the original animated feature, though I will say among Disney's releases thus far I enjoyed Zootopia a little more. This film really makes you question the boundaries between live action and animation, the way they pulled off all the animals without anthropomorphizing them too much. Just mind blowing most of this was green screen, they pulled it off without making the film look like a video game. I normally don't care for 3D but everyone told me to check this out in 3D, it's definitely worth it.
