i like the humans to infected ratio. When your taking on Humans after a while you really don't feel worried or you don't really sneak a lot you don't get that sense of fear. Then when the game changes and your facing infected again suddenly its intense and the ''fear'' of the infected comes back and the atmosphere changes its fantastic. In the dark with surround sound this is one of the best horror atmospheres i have heard in a game for a while.

Very good point. I haven't been so unnerved by a game in years.

I am really enjoying the game, but must say one minor complaint: level design is really linear, in the sense of small exploration areas. At least this far, Aside from that, loving the tone, story, characters, violent, BLOOD!!

Its weird playing a ND game that isn't T rated

Wow this game is long. Played for two hrs and still haven't beaten it. Come to find out I got more to do. This game destroys resident evil 6. So much depth and detail and the action feels so right,Not thrown in to please brain dead cod fans.

I cannot hold out any longer been watching gameplay videos and this looks to be my favorite game of all time. Sadly I watched a part 1 of a walk through that was really the end. lol but still doesn't detract from this game.

Did you already sell your PS3? I know it's easier said than done, but if I had to choose between one or the other, I would definitely choose to keep my PS3 and delay buying the PS4. I just feel bad that a lot of people will miss out on these great games.

I'm getting this on Monday (ugh such a long wait), and there's still Beyond: Two Souls and a few other titles I want this year. This is definitely a great year for PS fans.

the part where Ellie runs off for she spots something and it turns out to be Giraffes is the most beautiful moment in gaming. Maybe cos I have a soft spot for them as animals but that bit just resonated with me. Brilliant

Dude I am like 19 hours into the game and on Chapter 5 of 42 according to my game guide

LOL, but am on Chapter 5 - was shocked to see there are a lot of chapters to go - game is crazy long and starting to like the large play/exploration areas compared to the first two chapters

Hope the game has a big finish - sure it will. No idea how it ends, so I am purely speculating, but if the storyline is 'ended' without hope of a sequel, I will be shocked. Most new IPs are about setting up game 1 thru game 5

TO snakeplissken: Its hard to knock the game because the shadows or reflections don't look that great or are glitch. This is OLD PS3 hardware! This is not a DirectX 11 PC game, where you can crank the res up, turn on the fancy shadows etc.

But just WAIT till the new consoles. If you think this game looks good, imagine what they can do, once they get comfy with the PS4 specs, and picture a game like this running at 1080P and 60fps, with WAY more texture detail, full on shadows and lighting effects.

Yup and if you hunt for supplies well, it aint too bad...good amt of challenge! Really pumped for Survivor mode

For the longest time I was wondering about the in-game money earned, but finally looked at bonuses for the answer.

This game is way beyond what I expected, its much better. From now on I'll compare everygame I play with this one, the next gen better have games like this I'm tyred of the simple/boring shooters.

Too bad I have to give the ps3 back, but I'll get in once I have the ps4 I'm sure it will be one of the first downloadable games
