Mando and Grogu living the good life at his cabin was a perfect finale. That and the Mandalore battle saved Season 3 for me.

Yeah. I don't need anymore.

Over time I have learned that I have absolutely no attachment to Mando, save for the Boba Fett reference. Grogu I actually like, so I'd prefer to delay Disney's destruction of that character for as long as possible.

Honestly there's never been much of a character to get attached to. It was mostly just his badass, enigmatic presence that carried those first two seasons and made them work. But now that we've seen him become such a huge softy and pushover, that magic is mostly gone and I'm not sure how the movie will be able to recapture it.

Well, I'll disagree - for me Din D'jarin was really interesting and still is, watching his code and world view get deconstructed. I cheered when he slammed that shift back Season 1. There's still the issue that Grogu may or may not ever meet any of his own kind or the fact that Grogu will far outlive his adopted father. Or if Din D'jarin becomes a reluctant king. Or heroically dies.
Just as long as he doesn't end up as a Force wielder like, apparently now, 78% of everyone in the galaxy.

For all the waffling about in Season 3 with those boring, space ice-cream licking ex-Imperials, I thought it wrapped up pretty well with the battle for Mandalore and Din & Grogu chillin’ on the farm. I’m happy to leave it there.
I’ve actually been exercising my ability to watch what I feel like, completely ignore other stuff and abandon any FOMO. Haven’t watched Dial of Destiny or the last miserable batch of Marvel/DC releases and I feel great! Been rewatching classics like Jaws with the kids instead and loving their reactions and discussions afterwards. Good times!

Yeah I think Favreau had a conclusive end, delivering Grogu to Luke.
Then Grogu merch had Disney corporate demanding more, and Favreau has been phoning it in sense.
From Luke proclaiming I will guard him with my life, to suddenly and conveniently dumping him back off, all alone.
The Dark saber build up and who would wield it, became completely meaningless and had zero pay off.
The taking back of Mandalor and him reclaiming his purpose, was completely uneventful, with most of the plot drive surrendered to Bo.
The epic awakening of the Mighty Mythosaur amounted to Mando taking two steps into the "living waters" and like useless dead-weight literally sinking to the bottom of the lake, and needing to be saved.
My favorite part was the S3 conclusion when the Armorer tells Djarin:
-Mandalorians are stronger together!
Followed by:
-Now you must leave Mandalor and go on your journey.

= what else can they squeeze out of this? . Oh, ....apparently a movie.

Mando lost it to that creature under Mandalore. Bo defeated it. It was hers by right. Did you watch the show?

It’s not earned specifically through a “trial by combat” just defeating the owner in combat, which happened.

Wasn’t handled the best but it still happened nonetheless.

I was already sick of Grogu after season 1. His story dragged far longer than it should have. The 2 first seasons had some great moments but there was a lot of filler and it felt like they were just delaying any real plot progression, content to just tread water. The cringe peppered throughout didn't help. Once Grogu was finally handed to Luke I thought "finally!! Now mando can actually do some bounty hunting and actually find a new adventure" but nope, Grogu is returned to him before season 3 even started and then we got Lizzo, more pointless side quests, ice cream time with characters we didn't need to see and space pirates who dress and talk like they just stepped off the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

Mando already outstayed its welcome and jumped the shark. A Mando movie is pointless now and will likely only further water down the few successes of the first 2 seasons.

Disney is doing the unthinkable: making me dread more Star Wars. My life long fandom, the thing that I escaped to in my darkest moments, the brand I supported the most, collected the most, dreamed of the most is now passing the point of anger (like the sequels made me feel) to apathy. The first 2 seasons of Mando made me feel like there was potential for resuscitation after the sequels killed the franchise, Andor revived my passion, only for BOBF, Kenobi and Mando s3 to kill it again and Ahsoka to not fix anything (in fact, it made things worse). I fully expect skeleton crew to have the same crappy writing as most the other shows and movies, I expect the Acolyte to be too busy pushing messaging to bother with any decent writing and the Rey movie is a sign that Disney only intends to double down on the terrible sequels. My only hope is Andor s2. If that fails I can see myself checking out of Star Wars the way I checked out of the MCU and DCEU. I do not care at all about them. Sigh.

I'm so glad Mando s1&2 had an actual arc, with interesting characters and cool little adventures. I couldn't care less about the nonsensical Mandalorian BS that followed
