This forum just likes to think it is the center of the universe isn?t it?
If there's a bright center to the universe, you're on the forum that it's farthest from.

Is everyone prepared for Bill Burr to be Fett.

The important take away for me is that it is fun and entertaining which it remains in spade.
The swoop bike stuff was fun.
There was very dark and callous undertones to the outer fun layer though.
Grandma is babysitting one second and next she is hiding a dead body by ordering kid friendly comedic droids to dump into a freaking hole somewhere in the desert.

I agree with all your points.
As much as I was craving something unique and different from what was served to us with TLJ, just can't help but think "...meh.."..
Really wanted to like it, i just cant, the writing is for simpletons, the score is weird, the acting has got really bad, and the cockpit scenes reminds me of red dwarf, so cheap.
I'ts frustrating how so little happens in each episode. The plot moves at a glacial pace and its making me want to wait until the season is over so I can just binge it.
i just don't know how to feel about this series tbh. The casting makes me think this is a college project, i think it needs to take a lesson from Babylon 5, and tell the story in arcs instead of trying to cram everything into each episode.
It feels like porn - Periodically shows and reminds you of something you love, looks good, exciting, but it is empty of ANY meaningful content. Sometimes you want to watch it again and sometimes you think "why am i watching this?!?"
I hope it gets out of this cycle of going to a new planet and having an adventure then running to a new one, 'rinse and repeat'.
seems like I'm done done getting drunk off the fan service and now I'm feeling the hangover.
This is NOT the way.
Yeah I don?t mind the contained bounty hunting stories per episode BUT by the next episode they need to step back and show a larger narrative at play.
And it's kind of hilarious that the new bartender hated droids just as much as the last one.
Mando might have really bonded with Jabba's old torture droid, lol.

I thought this version of Mos Eisley was great. With no Empire to flee from and no Jabba to work for why *would* it continue to be a bustling spaceport? The washed up has-been feel to the town felt correct to me, I don't think I would have wanted to see a packed house with a lively band all over again as if nothing had ever changed.
I'm actually getting a kick out of all the crappy supporting actors, but again, I had my teeth cut not just on the OT but the infamous Holiday Special so these actors provide a familiar chintzy charm that isn't totally out of place for me. It is jarring to go from Nolte, Weathers, and Herzog to these newer characters though so I'm not surprised that some people are getting turned off by them.
I liked the parallel with Toro and the Schofield Kid from Unforgiven though I do wish that they cast Toro with a better actor.
I also enjoyed the cheesy intro, once again it felt like a big budget video game and totally reminded me of the intro to 1993's PC game "Privateer" lol:
Though again I won't be at all surprised if many people hold that *against* the show, lol.
Imagine if the surprise reveal came a little earlier when Mando was about to leave to get the Dewback.
"She's no good to us dead."
*A blaster goes off and burns a hole straight through the kid*
(from the shadows): "That's my line."
I’m perfectly content with the narrow focus of the series. We’ve seen the horror Ducasfilm unleashes when it goes grand-scale and I’m ****ing terrified this is going to end in some desperate crossover with wounded Palpatine eating Force babies.
In this day and age where men are meant to be emasculated by smarter females I was in shock that Toro didn?t fall for the smarter and more cunning asian female.
At first I didn?t like the actor but by the end he really became quite scary albeit way over his head.
He reminded of an evil James Franco.

Good points IMO. Also I thought the widow AND the kid were very good along with the mechanic in #5. It's not worth shelling out for Herzog level quality for actors we probably won't see again. Toro was good at the last tho - pretty chilling.

Holy crap I wonder if they're setting Fett up as being disgraced by his defeat at the Sarlacc Pit but that he was eavesdropping on the female assassin's speech about how catching Mando would make someone a bounty hunter legend again.
And I imagine that the Watiti and Favreau directed episodes coming up will be more in line with the quality of episodes 1-3.
