Yeah, for sure IMO Clone Wars and Rebels have their sugary moments; but I tend to roll with it more thanks to the IMO well-crafted characters, some fairly deep/mature concepts (depending on episode), excellent design work, IMO pretty good scripts with stuff that's really funny at times.

Plus, thanks to the number of shows, I didn't have to worry. Plenty of variety to go around. If it it was too saccharine/corny in one episode, something else was coming along.

Personally lean more towards the grit of Rogue One and even Solo, with appreciation for grand spectacle like Mando Season 2 Episode 1 (still my favorite from this season).

Agreed that there was a range of episodes in those cartoons, but my issue lies with what was done to the broader mythological framework holding all those episodes and characters together. Filoni is the J.K. Rowling of Star Wars, and not in a good way. :lol

I forgot to mention Solo. Criminally underrated and strikes the same balance ESB did. Although I loved Rogue One for the most part, I don't think Star Wars in general should feel that way.

Yeah, I do wish they had more time to interact and get to know one another. Hell, he never even told her his name. :slap Maybe in the spin-off she'll ask Bo-Katan who the guy on the shiny beskar armor was. :lol

You totally lost me until I googled Oberyn Martell - I had no idea that PP was in GoT as I've never watched it. :lol

Apparently Pascal rose to prominence via GOT, tho I knew of him before that. He's really good, if u ever catch him in Netflix "Narcos" and other roles. Was pretty happy when Mandalorian was cast.

Far as GOT - dunno what to tell folks.

Fans of the books - that's a whole saga but for myself have given up on author George Martin - don't think he's ever going to finish. So not sure I'd tell anyone to start reading. As for the series - no spoilers but if u wanna know more, there's dozens of articles about George Martin and all the *convolutions* around GOT books and series.

But Pascal and many other actors were awesome!

Totally agree, tho IMO the filming is murky. Interesting character twists, some great aesthetics. IMO it's a d@mn shame it doesn't get the respect IMO it deserves.:(

Geez, might you be referring to ideas along the lines of:

A godlike Father, Son, and Daughter being literal personifications of the Force balance in the entire SW universe?

Yoda being tested by "Force Priestesses" with drama mask faces, and confronting his darkside shadow-self in order to learn how to become a Force ghost?

Space whales self-propelling into and through hyperspace?

Well then...

I really don't want Luke to show up anyway, I'm sick of Skywalkers and all that crap at this point.

The last word should NOT be what we got in the ST though. Which is why a course correcting appearance(no matter how short) is pretty much necessity considering the timeline of the show and that Favreau/Filoni are the folks responsible for creating it.

Seriously though, Star Wars needs to move away from that stuff, it's a huge galaxy with infinite possibilities, not everything has to revolve around the same few characters.

The inconvenient truth for fans with this attitude is that "stuff" is the reason Star Wars became/is popular and has remained relevant for decades.

Main Star Wars is the skywalkers rsrsrsrrs
Knights of the Old Republic is awesome, but we are not in that timeframe of the saga, we need to see what the OT heroes are doing before the TFA

Thankfully they didn’t ruin Ahsoka. RD was perfect. Can’t wait for the spinoff series! So happy they are going into TCW/EU stuff and not the TRASH ST. Disney knows the money isn’t there in the ST.

Nearly a perfect episode, but Ahsoka can fight off Maul but takes a while with this random chick? Nah, weak. She should have disarmed her in a freaking second.

Yes true, but existing characters don't have to show up in every Star Wars related thing. People were still loving The Mandalorian without Boba Fett, Bo-Katan and Ahsoka.

My point is Star Wars has infinite possibilities and paths that you can take with characters and stories, for once it'd be nice to have some content comprised of all new characters and totally disconnected from the events of The Skywalker Saga. Season 1 of The Mandalorian shows that it's possible to do that and still keep both casual and dedicated fans engaged.

I love the show, I love Bo-Katan, Ahsoka, etc. but I don't need to see them in every piece of live action or animated Star Wars media.

Damn, I get that Clone Wars and Rebels is still canon, but seeing live action Ahsoka name-dropping Thrawn just hits different.

I can't believe they did that. I mean, I guess that was the perfect misdirect, the 'Page him' line makes everybody think Gideon is the Magistrate's boss and ... boom, 'we just made this show even more badass for you'

The only way to redeem the character of Luke Skywalker is for him to train Grogu. Can’t wait for Sebastian Stan to take up the lightsaber.

They are setting up Mando to completely retcon the ST and they will go forth with new Luke, Ahsoka, Mando, and Grogu as the face of the new ST. It will be glorious. Can’t wait for the new ST trilogy about them fighting Thrawn. :panic::yess:

If handled properly, Thrawn can be a Top 3 live-action SW villain of all time. The problem is that his essence is rooted in supreme intellect. He's like if Sherlock Holmes was a military strategist, but on brain steroids. So, whoever writes him in this show (and/or spinoff) better have the intellectual capacity to do the character justice.

Any kind of poorly-thought-out plot point that makes Thrawn look dumb will ruin the character as conceived by Timothy Zahn. Personally, I'd prefer if Zahn can at least consult on any episodes involving Thrawn, if not write or co-write them himself.

I hope they don't **** up with Thrawn. Could be epic if he gets handled right.

That's exactly what i am saying, they live in the same universe, it's a vast universe, but pos OT the main jedi in the galaxy is Luke.
Leia is with the recent government, so Mando will eventually meet her or someone close to her, i hope he meet Holdo so we get to se more of her or even Maz kanata.
Mando is the protagonist of this show, but its cool to se people we already meet

He might be right tho. I wouldn?t put it past Disney to retcon st. I mean look what?s being talked about more and is making more money. Baby yoda dolls completely shatter that stupid bb8 thing in sales alone. I would t put it past them to do that
