Will @Darth Snoopy reopen the original The Mandalorian (Star Wars Live Action Series) thread?

It's ironic that the last post in that one was:

As I said before, keep your political opinions to yourself or you'll earn yourself a two-week vacation.

Carry on.

This current thread, for one of the most popular Star Wars series, is allowing a certain waterfowl to continue to flip the bird at the forum.

Careful there.

You're speculating a little too hard. Remember what happens when posters convince themselves that their fan fic "Bram Stoker's Last Jedi" about Snoke being a dark Force vampire and Rey being the reincarnation of his lost love is the actual plot of the movie.
:lol Fair enough. Speculating is part of the fun for me, but that's all it is. If they go in a completely different direction than the old Thrawn Trilogy, I'll applaud originality winning the day.

All I really care about is Thrawn's characterization. The plots from those old books don't mean **** to me, but Thrawn (even as portrayed in the nu-canon novels) is great. His animated version in Rebels was too one-dimensional, but that show was meant for kids. The live-action version is what matters. If they're going to bother taking that character from the novels to use in these shows, then portray him the way Zahn did. I think that's a fair ask.

Either way, none of this will be part of my personal canon. Anything involving Ahsoka immediately goes in my "Doesn't Count" pile because of the time travel nonsense that she's permanently linked to. I'm just hoping for good entertainment value that's well written.

I'm fairly sure they've been making this up as they go, like all Star Wars projects before them. They just lucked out that the two seasons of Mandalorian were really good. (Personally, I thought season two started to become a bit of a snore with all the Clone Wars crap but the last three episodes redeemed it.)

It's blasphemous, I know, but I don't even NEED any more seasons of Mandalorian. I think his story has been told sufficiently.
Lol you remember that huh? Dude actually believed that was going to happen and told everyone it was in the movie. It sounded better sure but he was so sure this would transpire and then got mad when it didn’t . Then he made several accounts arguing with himself. Dude was hilarious

Reiterating from the figure threads, I would've liked if Mando didn't show his face at all until the finale, in my opinion it'd be a much more substantial impact. For instance, when IG applied the bacta spray, they could've made it implied that IG removed Mando's helmet with out showing the audience. Also, when Mayfield was supposed to obtain the coordinates, he said he couldn't since his former commander was present, but then he eventually casually talked to him, so Mando needn't remove the trooper helmet. Of course this is just a minor qualm and doesn't detract from the show.

I guess if we got obstructed views that would have been all right if we knew it was leading up to an eventual reveal, but it would also have been maddening.

I know I'm just a sexist/misogynist/backwoods hillbilly creep/______ist/_______phobe and whatever else you wanna call me, but I personally NEEDED to see his face at the end of the first season just to confirm that he really was a guy. Cause I was fully expecting a Kathleen Kennedy Brand "subverted expectations" by revealing that The Mandalorian was (gasp!) a POWERFUL STRONG INDEPENDENT WOMAN all along!!!!

Yes, I remember saying the same thing after the S2 finale. The face reveal to Grogu did lose some impact as a result of him also unmasking in the episode (or two?) just prior. Now if memory serves that unmasking was also meaningful in itself but the proximity of the two times was a bit self-cannibalizing.
