Date this article to before this show was announced and even the most hardcore Boba fans and haters will all agree that it's talking about Boba in the EU.

But that's the thing, I honestly see both sides having really strong cases for what they believe. I do think they'll string us along for awhile just to keep the excitement of speculation and hype going but if the show starts off with a guy with amnesia, then it's a done deal he's definitely Boba:lol

And for a company that seems to be reiterating Fett is not Mandalorian, they've conveniently ignored explaining why he has symbols on his armor that are rooted in Mandalorian culture and history. Not to mentions Disney's own description of him themselves:dunno

Who really cares if he is Boba or not. Does it really change anything ?

Check this out. New teaser with new footage.

What do you mean who cares? Chill out. Nobody in here really cares and I've already said multiple times that it changes nothing if he's Fett or not. My point was for every article that says he's not, anyone can easily pull up more arguments against it.

And I was just replying to your article and continuing the discussion about the current topic that's been getting discussed in the last page. This IS the thread to talk about that while we wait out this last week, right?

I hope they keep the Mando's backstory secret for the most part. I still love Boba, but from what I've seen in the trailers I might have a new favorite Star Wars badass. We've seen the Mando do more in the trailers than BF ever did on screen. The couple things BF does have in his favor IMO is his classic interactions with Darth Vader and his role in ESB as well as the Slave-1 (although the Mando's ship, the Razorcrest is pretty cool). I was disappointed when they cancelled the BF movie, but this is exactly what I wanted and a lot more!

Everything the Mandalorian has done is miles cooler than anything we've ever seen Boba do. That's just a cold hard fact.

Although I wish they would've finished this episode. To beat Cad Bane in a duel would've been the most badass thing a guy in Mandalorian armor could've ever done.

Yeah, it's too bad they didn't complete that episode.

It's funny that this is the first time since 1977 that I have zero anticipation for an upcoming theatrical SW movie, but this series can't start soon enough!

I just wish SSC still had the 1/4 scale SW license so we had a shot at a Mando PF. I guess the 1/6 HT figure will have to do for now.

Look for MYC Collectibles. He’s aiming to have one by early next year and I’ve been flooding him with pictures of every detail so I thinks he’s gonna totally nail the accuracy. It’ll be a good placeholder while we wait for an officially licensed one.

That's good to know, I'll keep an eye out for info on it.

Here we see the double SW standard.

People already forgiving the stupid idea of having Boba Fett be the Madalorian.

This is as ******** and maybe worse than anything in TLJ.

It also negates a huge part of the OT. Another thing people have complained about with the ST.

If Fett escapes the pit, then its not really that dangerous is it? I mean if this bounty hunter can get out, why can?t Luke or Han or for that matter Weequay?

Is Fett now a badass that can do things a Jedi cannot?

Stupid.....

Sent from the inside of a giant slug in outer space.....

The tale, as it's been told...

"A Barve Like That: The Tale of Boba Fett by J.D. Montgomery appeared in Tales from Jabba's Palace which was published in January 1996 by Bantam Spectra. It tells the story of how Boba Fett escaped the Sarlacc.

Plot summary

Boba Fett awakens inside the Sarlacc. Via the Sarlacc, he makes telepathic contact with the first of its victims, Susejo. A series of flashbacks ensues, showing some of the Sarlacc's other victims, including a pair of Corellians and a Jedi. Other flashbacks detail Boba Fett's delivery of the frozen Han Solo to Jabba.

Inside the Sarlacc, for some time Fett is immobilized and his armor is heavily damaged by the creature's digestive system. He learns that Susejo can exert some control over the Sarlacc. He goads Susejo, making the Sarlacc contract around his jetpack. The resulting explosion frees the bounty hunter from the Sarlacc's grasp. He then fires concussion grenades into the wall of the beast, blowing a hole in its interior. Boba Fett escapes the Sarlacc, which like him is badly injured but still alive.

A year later, Fett returns to the Sarlacc in the Slave II. Due to his prior contact with the Sarlacc he can reestablish the telepathic connection with Susejo. He decides not to destroy the Sarlacc yet, but promises to return."

But Fett surviving the Sarlacc is already stupid, and gets worse... read below...

All the psychic bits are definitely pretty dumb in the tales story. Not super far fetched to assume Boba Fett escaped the sarlacc pit using his armor and gadgets to get out of there. Things Han and a weequay wouldn't have.

And Luke was not a Jedi... Yet.

I hardly think that idea would "negate" a huge part of the OT.
That said I think I'd prefer the Mandalorian to be his own character.

People really say the dumbest things when they're worked up:lol

But Maul's as popular as ever, even with his convoluted return, so I imagine folks will all move on too if Fett=Mandalorian.

And just to be clear, I think he's gonna be a new character with the "spiritual essence" of some EU Mando's. I wouldn't even put it past them to name him Jaster Mereel or something. But yeah, some people seem like they're taking someone's personal speculation of him being Boba way too personal:lol We're too far down the crappy bottom of Star Wars right now to let that bother you.

Yeah Filoni already kinda took some of the Traviss and Open Season mando stuff and made it his own. With Favreau having Beskar mentioned I assume we'll continue to get some of the old Mando details mixed in with new stuff.
