Yeah but it's just one of many examples of dialogue in this season that spells things out like that, it's as if it's written for babies.
But that scene is a such a Carl Weather’s scene…he is always been that kind of actor that he just steals a scene in one breath …I really think they wrote that dialogue strictly because they knew “ hey Carga and Weathers have the gift of making something so obvious seem so noticeable “

It's not just him, it's every single character, they just talk like they're reading a textbook instead of a TV script.
I think it’s not him…they said that one dude took over in S2 forgot his name
He's the voice, only part that matters.

If it wasn’t for the Bo Katan ( or if she wasn’t in it ) arc…this season is a complete dud ..after the finale , I think we need a break from Mando at least for a while again

And I don’t care what people refer to as far as Pedro’s involvement is concerned…this S3 clearly showed that he was more invested in working on TLOU and they had to just work around it the best they could…so thank god for Katie…this was her show and saved this season’s direction

Are the guards really a force though…they looked powerful but they also got beat by a scavenger girl and an untrained whining brat of a Jedi in less than 5 minutes flat

Those red guards were really cool, and well handled with the walk-away at the end, but it did kinda leave you wondering why Gideon would have sent all those white-armor cannon fodder dopes when those three red guards guys could have taken out most of the mandos "trapped" (seemed like they were trapped, kinda gave up, but then just escaped, and Bo was like "oh, the dark saber...." :lol ) in that room.

Seemed like Gideon in his super-armor and those three red guys could have saved many dozens of white armor dude (clone?) lives.
They were cool but Heavy Mando had also lost his blaster cannon so he was down to hand to hand combat by the time they got into the mix, if I recall. They probably don't get that close to him if he's still fully armed with that... But yeah, Gideon and this new armor means a face-off with the dark saber for sure!

The ragtag Mandos reminded me of this for some reason.

I like that they did the idea of Dinn getting the beskar armor…because from this S3…it looks the best…all the DW and other Mandos are just bland and boring looking and I think that was the point because they can’t overshadow the main star of the series ..even Boba’s new armor looks better than all the Mandos depicted in S3 saide from Dinn’s shiny armor..even Bo’s armor is meh if wasn’t for the owl helmet and Katie’s sexy body

Yeah its strange to see Mando himself as just another supporting mando in this season, and Pedro leaving the series would make little difference - you never see him anyway. Just do a deal with his agent to use a Pedro AI voice, and I'm assuming it isn't even Pedro in the costume most of the time anyway.

It's weird that we see Axe and Bo's face endlessly but never Pedro? You really have to wonder what on earth they were thinking. (I always laugh how after a big battle/fight some mandos are allowed to take off their helmets for a sweat-free breath of fresh air while many others are like "damnit, gotta keep the helmet on..." despite the sweat and exhaustion. :lol

And speaking of unhelmeted mandos, I was super surprised that the helmet of a certain fallen mando didnt roll off to reveal a dead Jon Favreau beneath.
Dinn is definitely not the same Dinn from S1

The best episode so far from an otherwise very weak season.
I am looking forward to next week's episode, which I couldn't say after any of the other episodes we've had so far.
We've got a villain, we've got a hint of a greater villain to come, we've got an objective and a mission. We've got a hint of the wider story that will likely have an impact on the next season of Mando (or that "Mandoverse" movie they announced) and/or Ahsoka.
Finally feels like something is happening and progressing now. Just took them until episode 7 to do it
The action seemed to be better directed in this episode too.

So was that stupid giant mythosaur logo painted on the bottom of the former imperial ship some kind of massive mando painting chore? "Okay guys - we got a good deal on red paint, everyone grab a brush and get your *** out there and get painting!" Every mando is like "ugh, I hate it whenever we get a new spaceship." Such a dumb idea.

Nah, they leave it up to Sabine!! She's loves to TAG ****, bro!! She's so IN YOUR FACE!! Watch out, man, she'll TAG you when you're not looking!! Isn't that EDGY??? It's grafitti, like the kids love these days, but in STAR WARS!! Isn't that CRAZY!! EXTREEEEEEEEEEME!!!!

I feel the season finale needs to involve Luke, Boba and Fennic in some way…but I don’t see it happening…I’m sure Ashoka will be appearing since it has to lead into the Asoka series in some fashion.

Also does anyone know if a S4 is happening…all SW celebration weekend there was no concrete indication of a S4…sure the stars at Celebration were hinting plots and characters but there was no evidence or a mention of a Mando S4

Over the long term, who knows, really. If I wanted to nitpick, and the whole Idea is some huge movie mashup with Thrawn as the big bad, why wouldn't Ezra/Grogu/Ahoska etc. just Force choke him and end the whole thing?

And how long is Din supposed to hang around Bo being the Hand of the King, or whatever. Why doesn't Grogu just off Gideon....but anyway was a great episode, guess I won't put my Mando collection in the barbecue yet. 😁
Giancarlo at Celebration mentioned that as well …why he can’t understand that about Grogu

I'm just throwing this out into the void but I remember there were strong voices clamoring for this show to eventually lead into the retaking of Mandalore and diving deeper into Mandalorian culture.

That wouldn't have been feasible with just the one titular Mandalorian and would've required broadening the scope regardless.

Did they handle it the best way possible this season? No, absolutely not. But we're here now, and I want to give them the chance to see how they deliver on that premise instead of writing it off.

I enjoyed Din Djarin's personal journey with Grogu as much as everyone. But they gave us that with S1 and S2 and some of TBOBF. Could they have just kept making the same show every season? Sure. If the entire run of the series was Din bounty hunting while trying to reunite Grogu with the Jedi then I'm sure many people would've been happy with that. But it could also have just gotten stale too; even frustrating without more plot progression.

I've felt disappointment in S3 but nothing close to anger or outrage. It's just personally exhausting for me to be angry. I would rather just find happiness and enjoyment where I can in these shows versus being angry about things that can't be changed.

Gideon really seems to dislike Thrawn so it’ll be funny when Thrawn shows up and has no idea who Gideon even is and just gets rid of him.

Gideon seems like the kind of person that has to fight for every inch of power with his scheming so he's probably upset at Thrawn seemingly being ceded authority without earning it in his eyes.

As his Mando cosplay kind of indicates, he also doesn't seem to have a cultural identity of his own so maybe he's also bitter Thrawn is a Chiss and he can't be cool like that.
