There are several pieces that could certainly be considered grails from the Marvel line. What, in your oppinion, is the current grail? And what do you think will be the Grail of all Grails in a few years?

I took the X-Men statue, for a few reasons. It was the first piece that introduced me to SSC. It's already getting damn near impossible to find and with at least one more announcement, it's only going to get harder to find and more expensive.

I think the Grey Hulk PF will be #2 when all is said and done. It's going to be the definitive Hulk collectible.

Doom really needs some other FF4 pieces to be announced to keep it's buzz up. Though those are some pretty pictures.

Grey hulk vs Spider-man dio will always be the most valuable,
Dr. Doom PF will be always be the most beautiful,
And The Grey Hulk PF will always be my personnal favorite.

I think Grey Hulk and Spiderman. Most limited of these and has 2 of the most popular marvel characters. I'd place Grey Hulk second and X-Men Sentinel third.

How can I pick just one when I own them all....

(cue evil laugh) Muhahahahahahahaha!!

:lol

1) DOOM...with or without the cup, the clear winner in my eyes.

2) Hulk Vs. Spider-Man (Never really cared for the Grey version)

3) X-Men Vs. Sentinel #1 Exclusive

Perfectly said, and I agree with every word.

Ditto, but I actually like the Green Hulk more. I think that one may end up at Reg Doom prices in a year, especially if they do another Hulk movie.

1. Doom PF Ex: It transcends from comics statue to work of art. It's the one piece that every Marvel fan must own. Pictures do not do it justice.

2. Gray Hulk Vs Spidey: The rarest piece and the one that eludes most people to the point of just pretending it doesn't exist because of the price. To own this is to really be a Sideshow Marvel hardcore. Not because is the best piece but because most people would flip it and most have done so already. If you collect Sideshow Marvel (especially the Vs line) for the long run flipping this may be the ultimate mistake that will haunt you in a few years.

3. Xmen Vs Sentinel #1: Great use of the light up feature that may never be duplicated in such a great way. Now that the cat is out of the bag and this is officially at least the 1st of 3 statues, the demand will always be high and the supply remain low.

Gray Hulk PF is not as good looking as the green version. At 179 pieces I would be tempted to put the red/black Classic Spidey PF ahead in terms of uniqueness. It's the best version of Spidey in PF format. Gray Hulk PF is not the best version of Hulk in PF format. I could be completely crazy on this but I think this may be the case once the Hulk PF hype dies down a bit.

I'm glad that there are 1,500 of these:

but only 875 of this:

Okay so I couldn't go more than 3 posts without making a Cap reference. Sue me.

I don't think I was around when Doom was up for preorder. What was the reaction. Me and a few other people have been posting and reposting every new Cap pic at every opportunity. Were people doing the same for Doom? What kind of hype did he have leading to the sellout?

He didn't have you, and a very small handful of zealots.:monkey5 The Cap will be one of my favorites, but I doubt it will ever be wrth more than hulk. The character appeal isn't as great, and the media support ie movies is totally absent.
