Yes, that was one of my takeaways as well. And with Loki now the God of Time they could always say he gave the TVA a new primary objective - prune all the Kang variants.
That’s all fine but someone has to create the domino incursions leading to Secret Wars.

Killing 1 Kang is different than killing thousands of Kangs even if they’re of the goofy variety lol

Does anyone here remember that gif that victor/darthkostis used all the time with that guy having a shameful expression it was my favorite of his lol

I wonder if Victor would change his name to Victor Timely lol

Secret Wars? Did you mean Kang Dynasty? I’m not familiar with the SW storyline but I didn’t think Kang was a big player in it.

And they wouldn’t necessarily have to kill all the Kangs. Keeping them ignorant of the multiverse (like they did with the young Timely) would suffice in some instances. But any looking like they’re about to go all evil? Zap those suckers lol.

As for Victor, maybe he wouldn’t have to change his name at all. :horror

Well with Marvel being Marvel they’re going to mash together 78 comic book stories into 2 movies lol

Kang wars will eventually lead to massive incursions which as we know will lead into SW.

Question is what is Doom’s role in all of it.

Remember when Hank Pym created Ultron in the comics?

Well Feige sure doesn’t lol

You're assuming I remember things I've never read lol. There's about a 35 year gap between when I stopped reading comics (early 70s?) to when my son got me interested & I started reading them again. And with very few exceptions most of what I read is decidedly NOT mainstream Marvel or DC....

I was coming into this expecting a train-wreck but was pleasantly surprised at how much fun this movie was. Iman IMO was what brought so much fun into this. Without her, this would have been a pretty bland affair.

Carol doesn't return to Earth for 25+ years or whatever because she's guilty over unintentionally causing the civil war on Hala that stripped it of its natural resources and made it unlivable for the Kree. So she didn't want to return home to see Monica until she "fixed" it - even though Monica would have absolutely no way of knowing about these events. That makes Carol look pretty shallow which one could buy for a short time period but not 25 years, especially with her also being aware of Maria's death. And to make Carol look even worse the movie doesn't provide any evidence that she ever made any attempts to correct her Hala "mistake" in all of the time she was away.

She did return, but I think this was during the blip when Monica was not around. She was probably there at the deathbed of Maria. I don't think much time passed between Endgame and this movie.

That said, she would have been absent for a pretty big chunk of Monica's life still.

Yes, there was her “memory recapture” scene with Maria when she agreed to take Goose “until Monica came back” (presumably from being dusted by Thanos) and she also returned to Earth to help defeat Thanos during Endgame. But IMO that just makes her look worse, as after Hulk snapped everyone back she STILL couldn’t be bothered to check on Monica (but made time to attend Tony’s funeral - a guy she barely knew). Again, it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the film but in hindsight they could have thought that out a bit better lol.

Yeah pretty much agree to that. But, I do think that was the point.
It was meant to be her mistake/flaw. I wish they'd explore this better since she is supposed to be dealing with a lot of trauma with how she lost her memories, lived a lie, then fought the people she thought she was a part of, tried to liberate them only to end up destroying their society, living through the blip and probably more. All those years alone in that ship probably would not help her mental health either.

Yes, I think if they'd written it as
she stayed away while trying to fix herself rather than fix what she did to Hala it would have played better. Her flaw was she tried to do everything herself rather than recognize it was OK to be with friends & family and let them help her.

She has a baby face that really makes her look like a teen in middle school and when I read jye's intent and desires, it just paints a weird picture. 😬
