Wasn't Kermit always stuttering and making a fool of himself when there was a hot lady guest? I remember an early episode where that happened.
Yes, he would do some of that on the original Muppet Show. The humor there was fairly adult in nature, but it wasn't explicit with sex jokes or anything. It was one of those rare shows that could legitimately appeal to kids and adults--sort of like Pixar movies nowadays.

I grew up on the muppets and enjoyed having them back on tonight i hope they keep it going for next generation. What's not to love ? Look forward to many guest stars in future and more good fun.

I was only able to catch the second half of the show, but enjoyed what I saw. I'll certainly tune in next week.

I kinda liked it. I didn't laugh once and constantly changed tabs, but I liked it....Maybe I'm a really easy person to please. Far too easy...

I watched it again. Still loved it. I think this is the right 'next step' for the Muppets. I'd much rather them on TV again than to wait 3 years for another movie - ans I wasn't a huge fan of Muppets Most Wanted anyways.

Humor seems to have the right balance, opportunity to have MORE Muppets involved.... I'm game.

(almost did a spit take during the Scooter getting tossed off the golf cart scene)

A couple reviews if anyone need some 'not really working at work' reading.

I loved it. Spoiler tags so as not to ruin the punchlines:

I ****ing lost it at Zoot's reaction to being at a meeting and Fozzie's "bear" joke.:lol

I liked it. Not sure I like the "The Office" vibe but it's funny and I like Muppets so..... :lol

I watched it, and I loved it. I laughed at the inappropriate jokes accordingly. Can't wait for the next episode.

I didn't grow up with Muppets. I knew some of the characters, but never saw it.

That being said, watching this with no rapport; I thought this was ****ing hilarious!

The concept itself is funny and great. I'd prefer this form of humor and wittiness. I'd take this over Simpsons or Family guy typed humor. Though those have more political and pop culture alluding. This has a Muppets with a 30 Rock style. Can't wait for next week!

Ok guys... time to move onto Gonzo for the b plot. Too much Fozzie is...well, too much. (plus I'm not a big Leno fan). Otherwise a solid episode. Really hoping this sticks around!

Next episode has:

Fozzie takes things a little too far when Kermit offers him advice and Nick Offerman steps in to help the gang. Meanwhile, Christina Applegate guests on “Up Late,” and brings Miss Piggy a sweet surprise that doesn’t go over well and Pepe, Rizzo and Liam Hemsworth try to help Gonzo out with his online dating situation.

Episode felt a bit weak in the humor. Could have been that I was watching this at 3 a.m.

Actually the ending with Lea was hysterical. :lol

Can't wait for next week! Absolutely adore Christina Applegate. Met her family at a school event when I was in high school. Nick Offerman also was about 10 minutes away from me. I'm sure it'll be hilarious with Gonzo and online dating. :rock

I got to watch the second episode all the way through, and really enjoyed it. Quite a few laugh out loud moments for my wife and I. I am definitely glad the Muppets are back on TV!
