Sounds like a big day for you Buttmunch, happy birthday btw!

Just got back from Spencer's were I picked up Jack, Elizabeth from DMC. Pretty cool figures, the palm trees really made them stand out. I already had the Norrington, but threw away his insert with the layout for the diorama, and have no idea where he's supposed to go. If you post pics could you take one of one of the figures from series 3's insert/map things so I could try and figure this island out.

Also does anyone who has the AWE Jack have a decent paint job on his face? Mainly the scar on the right side of his chin. Both of the Jack's Spencer's had seemed like the scar went halfway up his face. Just wondering if that was a common problem or a bad batch.

My Jack's paint job is fine. He even has grey around his eyes. His base is the same as the DMC series 2 Jack though. The Bathouse bases ARE Dutchman bases just repainted a bit. Very disapointing. :monkey2 No maps saying where they go, but I was able to figure it out. I was hoping for new bases or at least ones that connect to older ones (Jack's for example could have connected to the other island bases).

Norington connects to the right of Will's base. The bottom of Will's base connects to top right of Jack's. Elizabeth's connects to the left of Jack's base and Cannibal Jack's connects to the left of hers. Barbossa's connects to the right of series 2 Jack (by the chest). I'll try to get a shot of the maps. Been a very busy day.

Here is a quick shot of the map showing where the DMC bases go to connect.

And here is the one for Curse of the Black Pearl (I have them packed away right now due to lack of display space).

Here are the DMC Island bases together.

And here is the Dutchman with its Fishy crew.

Finally here is Sao Feng's Dutchma... I mean bathouse

I know they are quick and ugly pics, but it was all I have time for right now. Hope this helps.

Yeah you will. Will's base seems to be the center of the connection. As far as Will's go its a pretty good figure and can be posed to fight Jack and Norington fairly easily.

Just thought I'd share a little advise on how to fix the Death Eaters from leaning over. I cut the corners from the front of their packaging and place one underneath their robes by their forward foot. Now when they want to lean to the side, the little clear plastic stops it. Like I said, I just thought I'd share if anyone is having similar problems with the Death Eaters standing straight.

The island set up looks really cool but JAck and Barbosa look out of place. I only have Norrington and Elizabeth and may consider will. Thanks for the pics!:D

I've been collecting the NECA nightmare before christmas line. In the box they look really nice, and the paint jobs look pretty nice. I haven't opened them yet as I have nowhere to display them. I also have a few cult classics, but I think NECA has a little issue with the final finish on their figures. They all look a little rough, like they have been hit with sandpaper or something. I like their character selection, and they'll do some cool videogame stuff soon too.

I am getting to the point in collecting though, where I would have one spectacular figure from a line, rather than an entire line, so I am pretty choosy with the NECA cult classic stuff.

Just a heads up guys, the Boarders 'exclusive' Snape is out now. By exclusive, I think they mean early since the rest of series 2 isn't out yet. They also had the 3" figures, which are just the 7" figures shrunk down. They had an 'exclusive' 3 pack of the kids for $20. I'll stick the the larger figures though.

BTW, Snape looks great. Just be careful of paint. Some looked like he had a stubble mustache.

Looks like someone should start a McFarlane thread too.

Now that I've got Snape open:
- Great figure, one of the, if not the, best in the line
- A bit light on accessories (just wand and black base)
- great likeness of Rickman as Snape
- wand was a bit tuff to get in his hand, but I eventually got it in there
- great pose and flow of the outer robe
- the inner robes are tinted purple, perhaps this could be the 'exclusive' to Boarders and perhaps the regular release will be tinted another color. It isn't very noticeable unless you take his outer robe off.

Overall, if you are a Snape fan, or just want another Potter figure sooner rather than later, I highly recommend you stop by a Boarders and pick one up. Just watch out for paint jobs as I mentioned earlier.

Big Bump!

Went to Barnes and Noble today and in the latest Lee's Toy Review they had some Harry Potter updates.

OotP series 3 will include
-Lucius Malfoy (in progess sculpt shown, looks good, from final battle)
-Bellatrix Lestrange
-Casual outfit Harry (probably from final Battle?)
-either Voldemort or Mad Eye Moody.

I'd prefer Voldemort since his look (so far) is specific to OotP, wearas Moody could fit in just fine in the saga line. Mr. Falk is pushing for Moody though, and wants a moveable eye, walking stick, removable leg, etc.

Either choice would be cool though.

They said Bellatrix and Lucius would be on display at Comic-Con if done in time.
