Got great news from home today at SDCC! A package from Hong Kong arrived, so I should finally have my parts when I get back tomorrow!

I'm going to be honest, this isn't a character I know a whole lot about. I'm a visual person and if I like how a character looks, I usually like the character. Black Mask is one of those characters. Early versions of his mask suck. I'm a huge fan of the newer Skull Mask. I took it a step further and basically made him "The Black Skull"
The outfit was ripped off directly from THE Batman animated series version of the character. It consists of Sideshow's Scarface suit and vest and hands and gun. The shirt and tie from Storerooms and the shoes and socks standard Sideshow dress versions.
The head is from the SDCC Freddy Kruger. It is the skull accessory he came with. I simply cut off an Art S. Buck's head and glued and sculpeyed the skull on top. It is still very fragile (had to glue it back together once before painting) but it seems to be sturdy enough now.

Here is a character I know a bit more about. Jim Gordon. My take on him is that he is basically Horatio Caine without the cheese factor (although I couldn't help but put a Horatioesque pose in there
). Basically he is a nice guy and would do anything to help children deal with what crimes have happened to them, but he isn't afraid to pull the trigger first. The CSM sculpt I used seemed perfect for a face that could both be nice and serious at the same time.
Shirt and tie and glasses are from Giles, the rest of the suit from Storerooms.

NICE work bro! And excellent use of that skull from Freddy, it really does work on that body. It looks fantastic and very creepy. Gordon is excellent as well, and the sculpt works in ways I never thought it would... great pick there bro.
I'm glad you finally got him done, I know how long SR can take and it's agony waiting on it all.

Thanks Josh. Like I said, these were DONE a long time ago. I was just waiting for those last bits of clothes but didn't want to fully reveal them until they were done. Gordon could maybe use a trenchcoat, but I'm in no hurry to look for one.
Still debating wether I should add eyes to Black Mask. I'm sure I would screw it up somewhat though

No eyes... I think that would not work for him. Teeth are hard to see in some of the shots, but looks like you can see the different color on one of them. I sculpted eyes for my Redskull figure... but I think he's one that has to have them.

Cool. I'll leave him as is.
As for the teeth, that is how Sidehow painted them. If its not broke, don't fix it right? I didn't add any paint on either figure except to blend the skull to the neck on Black Mask and the mustache on Gordon. My painting skills still suck so if I don't have to repaint something, I won't

Yeah, I think Red Skull definately needs the eyes. Black Mask, not so much as sometimes he just has the "comic" white eyed look anyway.
I also added one more Black Mask pic with a flash to show of the details better.
And that Red Skull looks great GB!
