I think people like their movies because they are so bad.....I mean who can forget the gem "Rock Monster"?

Their concepts are sooooo out there that I think the only way to make them entertaining is to make the movie as cheesy as possible. Plus they seem to hire a lot of BSG actors to be in their movies as well as actors from the 80's. Total win!

All the disaster movies they were showing yesterday were pretty much the same movie with different titles and actors. Dirk Benedick was in one of them, btw.

It's Benedict. At first I was thinking, "who's that - a porn star no doubt!"

And you are right - their disaster movies are all the same...just different scenery and actors. They had a couple that were almost carbon copies -

Snow Beast

And Yeti

I've seen both and Yeti is the superior one. With Snow Beast I wanted it to kill everyone because they were so damn stupid. I mean painfully stupid...like there is no way in hell that anyone with 1/100 of a brain could be that stupid.

I think it's hilarious that they release these on DVD for sale. I watch most of them since I have SyFy or CN on when I am home mostly. i love them

My favorite is still Alien Apocalypse just because of Bruce Campbell... And it is seriously bad. I think Bruce said they made it somewhere in Eastern Europe because it was one of the cheapest places they could film.

I actually quite like Dinoshark....its complete and utter rubbish dont get me wrong, it just has enough charm to pass into the "so bad its acceptable" area of my movie-watching mind...



I still love that SciFi (Nope, i will not recognise "SyFy") use the tag line "The SciFi channel ORIGINAL movie"....one day the VO will get annoyed and say "The SciFi channel ORIGINAL RIP OFF of" and get fired...



Anyone seen sharknado yet?...does it fall into the "so bad its good" or just the "I need a young priest and an old priest" area of movie-going hell?
