I'm not totally sold on Affleck as Reeves, but I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie.

It doesn't come out until September, but here's the trailer: Hollywoodland

Looks interesting...I saw an A&E thing on this unsloved murder/suicide a couple years ago...Like Batty said, I'am not totally sold on old Ben, but I think it will be worth checking out.

A friend of mine is something of a historian on the movie executive whose wife was sleeping with Reeves. It's pretty much accepted in the Hollywood community that Reeves was murdered, not a suicide. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this film.

hope it's not another biased film. ...should be good though. I like mystery films.

This looks like it has Capote potential. I wonder if they'll recreate his appearance on I Love Lucy.

According to Noel Neill (Lois Lane) George was "happy as a bug" and ready to get started on the next season. George had also begun to get into directing and was pretty much guaranteed he would direct multiple episodes in the next season, thus taking his career in a new direction.

Oh, btw, there were no fingerprints on the gun which killed him...

I always thought Bill Peterson (Manhunter, CSI) would have been my casting choice to play George Reeves. I would have had him lose about 10 lbs and given him voice training to capture George's lower range voice but other than that, he would have nailed this IMO. Unfortunately in Hollywood, Indy movies need to cast actors like Ben just to get the financing...

Still, the script is decent I heard and I will see this film.

It's not really about Reeves. It's about the investigation into his death. They do show some "filming", though.

Oh, right. I thought that since his appearance on Lucy happened towards the end of his life, they might include it.

This sounds interesting. I will definitely be checking it out come September.

Definitely be checking this one out! I used to love watching the old Superman TV shows... and I don't know a lot about his death, seems like it might be in the same vein as Auto Focus. A little unsure about the choice of Affleck, but studios have to get butts in the seats :monkey1
