Unless I've lost it (which is highly possible), I sure I saw Reeves interviewed about Penguin just before it started saying that there is only 1 season as it starts a week after the film ended and goes right up until a week before the next movie begins.

Nope you’re correct.

I think people are just speculating, based on how popular and acclaimed series 1 has been so far.

Who do we think bites it in the S1 finale?
Penguin's mom.

I wish Sofia would die -- only because she's so great, I don't want to see her driven into the ground with overuse. She'd be a great "S1 Villain" and S2 could start with a whole new menace.
IDK, I think having a continuation of the mob infighting with yet another villain to challenge Penguin would get old real fast. At some point they need to have him go up against the good guys.

Yeah I don’t want to see her in S2 or the film either, she’s had a full arc here depending on how they wrap this up. She doesn’t want to run a family like her dad, so where else is there to go with character.

Penguins mom for sure needs to go.
In fact, I’d be ok with Vic going as well.
Leaving Oz with nothing, but surviving.
Agreed, both dying makes sense. Plus after learning that he essentially murdered his brothers I think he deserves to end up alone.

Well, since I heard Sofia's going to be in The Batman II, my hope is a pipe dream. Given her popularity, they'll likely milk her to "death". She'll end up like Harley... yes, somehow she'll end up devolving into 'sex' and 'one-liners'.
IDK, maybe Sophia will be Batman II's version of Miranda Tate, feigning romantic interest in Bruce while eying the Wayne fortune. It could be a sub-plot or she could be in league with the movie's Big Bad.

Yeah, a single limited series makes more sense. I think Farrell signed on for this to get an Emmy. I doubt that he'll be up for another year of the elaborate makeup and prosthetics - especially if he doesn't win one lol...

Which means The Batman II will be set around the Holliday season right? I wonder if they’ll choose to highlight it here.

For some reason I get the feeling a Scarecrow is bound to show up in this universe, of all the villains I find him one of the most likely.

I’m thinking a grown up Skut Farcus from A Christmas Story will be one of the villains.

Should’ve went with Ben Stiller for Riddler.

Oh, that would be perfect then. They won't drive Sofia or Penguin into the ground.

I like the idea of "S2" being a whole new villain, like the Joker. Every season gets a new villain, for as long as the gimmick lasts.

I always hated when something that didn’t need to be explained gets explained in heavy detail. Just say he was scared of bats. That’s like saying Peter Parker’s great grandfather use to have spider like agility and that agility was passed onto Peter lol
Hey that was the comic. Idk why they went with that but they did. There was more to it in the comic his grandmother committed suicide in front of Amedius and there is a whole thing about it and him basically blaming a bat in his nightmare is the cause and called it a curse.
