Congratulations with the birth of your little precious angel Dax... which I already knew thanks to our emailing He is just adorable. I am soooooo happy that he is eating good too. Lost this thread in the mix, but glad to come back and find some positive reporting in. You have an adorable son Dusty, better watch out though, little man's going to get into trouble when he grows up and get right out of it flashing those eyes at ya.

Glad to see two great parents blessed with a child, glad he's improving with each day, and glad to see a baby receiving a loving home, it's scary how many just come into this world and never have that.

Just in case you missed me - you DID miss me right?... right?? - just wanted to fill you guys in on some stuff going on lately.

The second Sideshow baby of 2008 has been born! Yep, 8 weeks early, after some really rough, and unexpectedly fast, complications and hospitalizations for the mom (that's me, for you n00bs ), my son entered the world, screaming the whole way.

Name: Dax Matthias Watkins
Birth Weight: 3 lbs, 5.5 ozs
Length: 17 3/4 inches
Birthday: Friday, August 29th at 4:36 PM Pacific Time

The optimistic power of Hope, the relaxation methods of Yoga, and the miracles of Modern Science have pulled us through this rough time, and we are super grateful for all the family, friends, co-workers, and - most of all - the excellent nurses and doctors who have given us their overwhelming support over the past couple weeks. I know you Freaks would've been right there with them, cheering us on, but I didn't really have much of a chance to get on a computer recently... so now, it's back to work until Dax gets to come home!!

Update: Dax is now 4 lbs 11 ozs and still gaining steadily - he even has a double chin now I think it's all the positive energy being sent his way - thank you all so much!! (although, he did have a slight set-back with his bottle-feeding - he got tired out - so he probably still has another week or so to get back on track)

He's very very expressive actually. Loves to experiment with his frowns when he hears a loud sound, or when we're trying to force feed him when he's tired I guess I better get used to it... although I do hope he smiles eventually!
