Venom is outstanding and is picking up steam in the aftermarket. I cancelled Punisher because it was just not doing it for me.

I own both pieces and i actually just think that the term grail gets thrown around wayyy to much.. I like venom but i feel some of the excitement for this piece stems from the fact that their is some possibly very nice companion pieces coming in the future. The sculpt is great but this is a statue with a few flaws that have been discussed many times.

I don't think this Punisher would reach grail status. Not everyone likes Olivetti's style and then there's the scale issue with this piece. I do think it'll retain its value though.

Venom is fueled by hype; Olivetti's symbiotes are terrible and nowhere near the iconic images fans like. Conversely, his Punisher is an incredible rendering and the print actually looks like the comiquette rather than altered to appeal to buyers. Still glad I cancelled my Venom ex. order, I'd rather have a piece I like than one I don't just because it's the only one in large scale.

Speak for yourself. I love this rendition of Venom and I love Carnage as well. I've been a symbiote fan since I was in the second grade.

You really think that what people are saying on here is creating enough 'hype' to cause this to be sold out everywhere and have made it nearly impossible to find??

Honestly, I'd take Venom over a Doom PF ANY day.

Actually, I've had two Doom exclusives and they did absolutely nothing for me. IMO, it's the most overrated PF out there.

If money/cost/value had absolutely nothing to do with it and I had to choose between the two, Venom would win every time.

It is interesting what we all find to be attributes to make a grail i suppose... i personallly love my thor statue tons more then venom and its not reallly a grail by any means.. (now back to punisher discussion my appologies lol) I love punisher too but he needs to be like 2-3 inches taller. And venom would have been awesome in less of a crouching position the massiveness would have really made me enjoy it more.
