Start checking eBay for the Loading Toys vest that goes on the Shooter/Waldberg fig. It's a perfect base for the Punisher. I've got some coming with new nylon straps (cheers for the link elvis, didn't know you could get that stuff, & here I was using all of the straps off of guns, duh me)

Morb, Loading toys for the body, GIGN for the neck piece. Chuck Morris vest for groin protector, knee pads used for shoulder pads.

I couldn't agree more with how helpful people are. It's pretty clear we don't need the big operators to make figs for us. Yeah , we get it done & in style

just 3 in total, the knee pads don't count. Could use the GIGN groin protector but the shape on the Chuck is closer, but will need to be painted black

No problem. This project has had a virtual glut of fantastic info to work with. However, I really need to star documenting some of the builds as they progress. For no other reason then to remind myself what pieces I've used.

My Loony Bin Jim is drying as I type. Moded a head sculpt & very happy with the results, may have to use a short LOTR body for scale

Any suggestions? Do I make him some apple sauce?

Oh almost forgot, use Testors flat black to paint the groin piece, it works beautifully

Okay I have more questions (2) If I just use the GIGN groin piece I don't need to paint it or do I? And what exactly do I need the straps for, where do I put them? I'm asking cause I can't find an image of the vest to see examples so I'm going by what you guys say. You're the experts.

Ok man in the pics you will see where the straps goes.
Red Line = Straps.
But it's difficult to be 100% accurate because the real jacket is quiet long. But you can use that as a base.

Morb, thanks. I found a small dragon body I may use, it is the teen one as well as a Gimli (?) not a LOTR fan, will see which looks better, LBJ is a little paunchy in the scene where they go into the widows house.

Nice diagram of the straps Elvis.

Morb, also try a google image search for large or extra large images of the Punisher, there are some great promo shots & Elvis's diagram is dead on.

Thats why I ended up using the Chuck Morris groin piece, I added the straps & once installed, the bottom edge of the vest makes it look kinda like the lower 3 set then the space & the final strap. I'll post images soon.
