I can't access the clip as it's region-restricted. But it could be an adaptation of the original Australian show, which was a mini-series of 6 or 8 episodes. It wasn't a who-did it, but an investigation into the tensions that resulted from the event, ie what happened in that social circle's various relationships once the brat got a slap from someone who wasn't his parent. It was a good watch.

He was being a right little turd at a BBQ, waving a cricket bat at a bunch of other kids in full view of his parents, who just looked on. One of the kids fathers then stepped in and gave the turd a bit of a whackety-do and the turd's parents get the cops involved. Tension ensues.

The kid's dad should have just beat up Zachary Quinto and then no TV Show would have been needed. That way no one would have been subjected to watching this with their wives.

Sounds like it's the same scenario with the US version. Here's the description of the first show from TV Guide.com:

I think in the US version, the kid's swinging a stick or a rod around wildly with other kids in the vicinity. Quinto grabs the kid, the lil' bastid kicks him in the shin and he slaps him in the face.
