Todd really is a marketing genius. I can't believe I'm seriously considering dropping $135 (with shipping) on the set of one classic and one modern (B), just so I can have the modern look with the option of masked and shoelace head.
I would sell the classic version with screaming and Simmons sculpt then though to make back some of the investment.

From what I understand about Kickstarter is that once it's over, you as the backer can change what you want anyway for a time period.

Not with this one. Those using backerkit, that fairly true but Todd isn?t forking over any more of his cash for that. That?s why there are so many new options to choose from. All of those customizable choices are now built into this Kickstarter. He just has to fill the orders as placed now.

BBTS sent me an address confirmation email for the MK Spawn and in that email they now specifically mention that the MK Spawn I am receiving is the sword version not the mace version lol

The two pack ( unsigned) at $80 is getting my attention..both classic and Modern

Not interested in a signed version
Grey artist version ..not interested
Alt heads are intriguing but if I can save money , I’m fine with just the masked classic and Modern heads

The Al Simmons head is probably my least favorite , I mean how often did he have the Al look with spawn outfit in the comics anyway

Hmm, I think I prefer a sword, but I PO the figure a long time ago, so it should be the one with the sword. I'd prefer a machine gun instead of a sword or mace tho.

So yeah I much rather have the sword than Spawn thinking he is Snake Plissken.

But huge gun would have been even better right.

How awesome if Todd gives us a yellow plasma optic blast for this new Spawn just like Mafex Cyclops lol

I know it won't be added but I'd just like one figure with all the options. I might do classic/modern, but have literally zero interest in the grey no paint figure.

Steel chains confirmed for neck as well as waist. Set of fists added to all orders. One necroplasm add-on for all pledges, trilogy packs get three different ones. Trilogy packs get gold signature on gold plaque instead of black or blue.

I already know how I'm going to pose him, machine gun pointing up on one hand, and necro plasm energy on the other hand.

I know it seems dumb, but I feel like closed fists, while pretty much always included as a set of hands, are by far my least used hands for any figures.

All the upgrades are awesome and expected. Now the only thing I really want is further edits for Comic outfit accuracy to the modern spawn version.

I'm glad the cape chain is metal now, because it was going to look a bit using plastic when the other chains are metal. I can't think of more upgrades for the classic spawn. Some people are asking for a secondary cape that drapes or a cloth one with a wire. I wouldn't mind a secondary plastic cape that's smaller or somewhat dynamic looking sculpt for poses...or one that drapes down like the MK 11 figure. That's an easy addition since the cape is removable. Also, a bandolier would be cool. Both things can be given to all figures.

As far as more costume upgrades for the modern figure, sure, why not. What else does it need besides the big boot?

The main thing he needs is for his hands to be painted black. That already would help a ton and is very easy to do for them.

The second easiest thing would be to change the left hand and left ankle as his spikes were a bit different generally lower/ smaller with more spikes.

Lastly but quite important I think is his leg pouches need to be on the opposite thigh.

Those three changes and it’s pretty much perfect. One could argue his cape needs to be more tattered but as the issues went on and on his costume never changed until around issue 100 but the cape itself became less tattered and almost looked like it does in the figure towards the end of that costumes run.

Oh and the arm spike band was on the opposite arm on the modern costume. So that’s a lot of retooling. Most essential thing though is the black gloves

Oh and I also noticed that the classic spawn had an important omission: there are supposed to be white stripes going up the sides of both arms.

Some may nitpick me on the modern points as some artists including Todd have taken liberties with that outfit over the years but the classic one was drowned exclusively with those arm stripes

I just paid 30 bucks for a BS Imperial Probe Droid with zero accessories other than a base.

For another 10 bucks Todd is giving us a huge articulated cape, weapons, plasma, metal material, different heads and hands, comic book with updated art, collector friendly packaging.

That is why when I read complaints on the 40 dollar price tag I was like wut no way.

Do I expect Todd to give us Revoltech levels of accessories at 40 bucks of course not.

But he sure is making Mafex and Bandai look really bad and even Hasbro.
