Could have bulked up the arms and shoulders a bit more, but I see what you're saying.
 
To those who may not be aware, this sculpture is based on Steve Ditko's interpretation of Spiderman. Ditko, the original artist on Spiderman back in the early 60s, is known for his unique artistic perspective of human anatomy. The 'off proportion' elements in this piece, for example, are indicative of the artist's style and are intentional in design. Personally, I think it's what ultimately gave Ditko's artwork such tremendous charm.

When I bought the piece back in the day, I certainly wasn't alone in thinking that the 2.5k price tag was astronomical. It actually took years for this piece to catch on with the secondary market fanbase too. The movie might have been a turning point... Not sure.

Given that this piece pops up on eBay perhaps 5 or 6 times a year, I wonder how often the piece exchanges hands.

P.S. The price for this piece has been all over the place. I've actually seen it sell with the bust on the Bay for 14k. Depends on the day. Depends on the buyer.
