My attic is bursting with boxes, as is one of my closets. I wish I could just toss them out, but I can't risk the hit on the value of these should I need to re-sell some of them.

I just moved all of my boxes into the attic and was impressed by how little space they took up.

You guys need to learn the meaning of restraint. :lecture

My attic is bursting with boxes!

You and me both bro... its gone from being one of my funny eccentricities to a major bug bear with my wife.... I swear its like the warehouse seen in Raiders up there... only without the room to move.

Okay....I rearrange my statues boxes and it took about 5 hours categorizing where everything are laid out on a chart. This is a 15'x12' room and i can maybe fill another 10 boxes before that room is completely filled to the ceiling. I cant even close the door now :gah:

Have the door open to the outside, that should give you space for 10 more boxes. :)

I keep my collecting in check by buying on displayability basis, if I can't display it, I don't buy it, it works for me cause I buy only pieces that I cant be without, and eliminates any possibility of impulse buys, if it's a preorder I start planning as soon as I place it, and if it's an already released piece then I give myself atleast a month, but I always worry about where I'm gonna put it first then I buy, your collection in boxes in a room somewhere to me is like not having it.

Just watched my first episode on Splice of Collection Intervention (a Barbie & a G.I.Joe / Diecast car collectors and there collections are pretty small compared to mine. :monkey3

Essentially their partners are the ones that initiates them to get rid of there collection. I guess i'll be single for a while

It just want to say that my relationship with my EX ended because off my excessive collection. :monkey2

On the bright side, no nagging now :)

Pretty much why my marriage just ended a few months ago. I'm still in the post marriage hangover but the possibilities are going to be unlimited.

I would liquidate my entire collection if life necessitated. Family comes before toys. This thread is makin me sad.

Bro. u should get rid of unwanted stuff ........
Just Bison PF, Hobogoblin comiquette & Daredevil comiquette... Those are my unwanted pieces. Some of those, I should have never bought in the first place. :monkey4

get rid of the brown shipper boxes, you'll be surprised how much room they take up
How would that save space when you still have the art box? :monkey1
oh and sell me the Batman Killer Croc statue:)

:lol Maybe :wink1:

Because money is useless paper based on owed debt only recognized by society because of it's current status. If there was an economic collapse it would be hard to barter for needs with dirty colored paper.

Then again comic/pop culture based statues may not be that much better.

Of course if he decided to collect gold or silver then that would be more worth while. :monkey1

Smart answer!
However, guns, ammo and food/water are better to collect then all of the mentioned above. Gold/Silver only will go so far. Water will be our most precious resource if the infrastructure fails

The Vs code : "Statues before hoes". I think i would have seriously reexamined my whole collecting philosophy if it meant saving my relationship with a chick i liked.
